So who exactly is the MSM and which media organizations are not part of the MSM?

good graph
Extremes on either end help bring in viewers/listeners. People like to hear views that jive with theirs rather than seek out other opinions. These days the more neutral sources are more likely to be struggling

There are many well regarded studies that prove this bias. Most media outlets have given up hiding their bias. CNN started with fairly balanced reporting upon it's inception but they have become unhinged with Trump. I don't mind biased reporting as long as you are explicit with your bias. CNN is one of the most deceitful of media outlets. Hence the backlash they get in public these days. That has been building well before Trump. Trump exploits it masterfully. Yet CNN claims to this day to be neutral. I'm picking on CNN but this goes for the majority of the media both written and televised. Most major media outlets are filled with producers, upper managers and anchors that are heavily left leaning, therefore their product is left leaning. Again, I don't have an issue with bias as long as its explicit. I don't have an issue with MSNBC or FOX for example but some still try to hide behind the veil of neutrality which is very deceitful. News is a business and they need to target their customers. I would prefer there be a law that requires all producers, managers, anchors and writers of media to annually publish who they vote for and their voting history so the public is better informed of the lens they view the world. Most well informed know who they're getting information from but majority don't. Kind of like the Nutrition Labels required for food products not everyone had the time to research before these labels. Now much easier.

Watch BBC News.... It tells it as it is and attacks those who bullsh.it... It's actually a news channel not a revenue generating bias media comedy show...

I spent well over 30 years in the labor market, in corporate business. I have faced two major recessions that practically wiped me out. First in the 1980s, that saw my 401K dump by more than 2/3. Cost me my new car and nearly lost my house. I spent all the rest of that decade and the 90s trying to rebuild that and pay for colleges and weddings. Then 2008 came about and whacked us hard yet again.
So now I'm 60+ years old, with a pittance in my IRA and facing an era where I'm being told that all the money I put in SS may not come back to me and that my Medicaid/Medicare is also likely to be slashed.
I work 3 jobs to make it, including coaching. Go find someone who wants to hire someone at my age, at a salary that is even slightly competitive. I present a stellar resume, impeccable references and a long list of job success in multiple industries and skills. No one cares about any of that because I'm too damn old or too damn experienced or they don't want to pay me anything more than what I make now.
I've never taken a dime in any social services in all that time. Not a dime in welfare or food stamps or any other similar service. I served my country during Vietnam.
I'm not whining. These are the facts. And the facts thus far, show that not a penny of this tax cut has trickled down into my paycheck, or my wife's. And the two businesses that I work for and pay me a salary both complain constantly how tough it is for them and how tight their profits are, blah, blah, blah.
The giant windfall of this tax cut has fallen on corporate America and the wealthy. Corporate America has turned the vast majority of this windfall back into themselves by buying up their own stock. Heats up the market and makes it look like it's booming. The wealthy? Well, they just keep it to themselves, as you would expect them to.
Trickle down economic theory is simply bull****. It has never worked in our history and over the next few months you'll see how this last tax cut will underwhelm most of America.
Then of course, we can talk about the negligible impact Mr. Tariff War will have on my quality of life and how, like the farmers, I'm going to be so much better off.
The President is driving a truck and he's lost control of it and when it hits the tree, we are all going to suffer mightily for it.
