The LAW precludes jailing kids ( actual word is DETAIN) so they cannot be held more than 20 days , with or without parents
Trumps gambit of late did an end run around that. These kids in cages “technically” weren’t considered detained under law. So cynical to exploit a technicality like that.
So perhaps you should realize it’s big baby trump in the corner now. Will he now violate the law to assuage his rabid base? I suspect you are that base so what you think?
But ball definitely in Trumps court on this right now. What will the big 👶 do?
Look for some big republican defections soon.

but the law is the law- trump is going to enforce the laws on the border, Obama chose not to (his prerogative but the job is implementing the laws that congress passes
the seperation of powers in our constitutions doesnt give the president the power to make law only sign it and enforce them-Congress makes the laws and those in congress are responsible
Obama did a whole speech on this and actually summed it up pretty well

catch and release ( which dems want but which he wont do) or keep the kids with their parents longer (hence the court challenge) which his EO wont survive because it goes against current law of housing kids with adults
back to what we have now- and round and round it goes until congress changes the law
how long will that take????

Maybe if Mexico took care of the drug smuggling and drug violence, there would not be a problem.
Sorry.....don’t blame the guy enforcing a us law against illegal immigration. Why don’t we have this issue with Canada?
Ps....uncouth democrats start young!

The first mistake you should not make is to believe that all Democrats and Liberals want open borders. Those strange ones way out on the left might, but the moderate voice is not in that camp.
We cannot let them in. I'm labeled a Liberal and Democrat all the time, but I believe in the rule of law. These people crossing illegally must face justice for their crime. But if we can so readily find a place for these kids, I'm sure we can find a place for them and the adults in relatively close quarters to each other.
I also have no problem with separating kids from adults, if the adult is guilty of a felony (crossing the border illegally is not a felony) or if there is proof that the adult is not a clear relative of the kid.
It's clear that any long term solution cannot rely on Mexico doing anything on their side. At the same time, a wall just is not the right answer. Billions of dollars for something that can be dug under, thrown over and will require ongoing maintenance. Spend the money on more agents, trucks, housing facilities, judges, port of entry employees, drones.
As for Canada, go look at a map. The Canadians have no need to illegally immigrate. Life is good in Canada. And north of there is the Arctic. Not many illegals coming through there and then through Canada to get to us.

MSM needs to find a new angle to fight Trump so the poor immigrant kids is it. Russia hasn't worked very well.
This is the problem with any discussion. People want to pick and choose the facts that support their bias.
The reality is that many people come here to take advantage of the seasonal work, because as ****ty as the work is and as bad as the conditions for employment might be, it's still better than their opportunities in their home nation.
At the same time, there are a whole bunch of folks who are coming here to escape the governments and violence in their own countries.
And there are some coming because they are criminals.
It's not just an either one or the other. All these reasons significantly cause this illegal migration across our borders. Any reasonably minded person understands this.

C'mon MSM!
Bengahzi - Thousands of hours of investigation spanning multiple years, by a very aggressive Republican led House and Senate. No evidence of wrongdoing found. Not one indictment. Nothing left to report.
Website - Who knows? Go there and see for yourself. Not even a story there.

More MSM news - Communist Broadcasting Service
An official from Health and Human Services has just told White House Correspondent for CBS News Jacqueline Alemany that there will “not be special efforts made” to reunite kids already taken from their parents under Trump’s new Executive order.
