Whooo hooo ... so happy I got my ticket to Bush Senior’s going away party. In My eulogy speech I’ll talk about how great I’ve made the country and how proud he would be of me.

Small crap... more of the Republican "let's try to change the subject" away from its grossly incompetent, corrupt and inept president, who got his ass kicked in the elections....
Hell, even the Bushes don't want Lying Loser to show up at the funeral .... though at least he managed to keep his mouth shut for 5 minutes.
Meanwhile Fux News and Hannity is trying to make the caravan a story... but no one is obliging .... what is next ? A Democratic cat stuck up a Republican tree story from Tucker?

Looking forward to the inevitable "I am not a crook" speech. Does not look like tRUMP will be Going Gentle into that Good Night.... :)

              Too funny... though unfortunately accurate...
              State Funeral = Narcissist Dream

The GOP is always screaming about voter fraud (despite the fact that it's virtually nonexistent) but now it looks like they were outright cheating in NC, basically stuffing the ballot box. But, if found guilty they'll probably get little jail time. Meanwhile in TX a woman who had been allowed to vote in TX for years will serve 8 years in jail when it was discovered she was only a legal resident, not citizen (she didn't know that disqualified her to vote and had never been told differently). She was a republican, but also Hispanic so no mercy.

He's not speaking, just included.out of protocol. But I'm sure if someone sticks a mic in his face he'll say something inept as always

"The official schedule of events commemorating the United States’ 41st president does not list the speakers lined up for ceremonies at the Washington National Cathedral, but The New York Times and CNN both reported that they include his son and 43rd president, George W. Bush, former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, former Senator Alan Simpson and biographer Jon Meacham." https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/...sh/2198555002/

Local politics has a larger impact on the public then the presidency. So many low level politicians on the take. Far worse then a trump tweet about the caravan.

That is definitely true and voters are finally starting to figure that out. That's why turnout was so good for an midterm and so many Republicans lost state seats and 7 governorships.

Cons agog over Trump (insincerely) saluting Bush's casket. As a vet I find a 5 time draft dodger "saluting" an actual vet who volunteered at age 18, a true war hero and life-long public servant simply revolting.

At a ceremony honoring veterans and senior citizens who sent presents to soldiers overseas, Attorney General Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut rose and spoke of an earlier time in his life.

“We have learned something important since the days that I served in Vietnam,” Mr. Blumenthal said to the group gathered in Norwalk in March 2008. “And you exemplify it. Whatever we think about the war, whatever we call it — Afghanistan or Iraq — we owe our military men and women unconditional support.”

There was one problem: Mr. Blumenthal, a Democrat now running for the United States Senate, never served in Vietnam. He obtained at least five military deferments from 1965 to 1970 and took repeated steps that enabled him to avoid going to war, according to records.
