Obama built camps so that minors could stay with their parents. they did not separate them, however, some children did arrive unaccompanied. If kids are unaccompanied are supposed to only be kept for a maximum of 21 days and either released to the care of a family member or approved other adult or foster care

All I care is that those who committed crimes are found out and brought to justice.

If Trump committed a crime and Manafort rolls on him, so be it. If Trump did not commit a crime, so be it.

The vastly significant and prevailing legal minds contradict you on the IG report and Mueller. They are saying it just touches on the edge of that investigation. We shall see when Mueller releases his final report.

There is no federal law that stipulates that children and parents be separated at the border, no matter how families entered the United States. An increase in child detainees separated from parents stemmed directly from a change in enforcement policy repeatedly announced by Sessions in April and May 2018, under which adults (with or without children) are criminally prosecuted for attempting to enter the United States:
The rumors correctly suggested that “family detention” as a whole came before the Trump administration, but as of August 2015 intact families at the border were rarely separated. Other iterations of the rumor held that the Obama administration separated more children from their parents than the Trump administration, a claim stemming from an inaccurate retelling of the fact that an influx of unaccompanied minors from Latin America crossed the border in from 2014 onward. In those instances, minor children primarily traveled without their parents.

Claims that the “law to separate families” was passed in 1997, those claims originated with a February 2018 Department of Homeland Security statement referencing “[l]egal loopholes [that] are exploited by minors, family units, and human smugglers.” The DHS statement claimed existing immigration policies “create a pull factor that invites more illegal immigration and encourages parents to pay and entrust their children to criminal organizations.”


However, neither the 1997 Flores settlement nor a 2008 human trafficking law cited in that release in any way stipulated that the government separate children from their parents:

Well said. I didn't vote for him not because I loved HRC but because didn't think he would make a good president. I even tried to give him the benefit of the doubt after the election. That only lasted a few weeks. He's proven to be even worse than ever imagined. And for those shouting about how great the economy is, both Republicans and Democrats have had had great economies and lousy ones. No party has a lock on how to run an economy. It's all about leadership. The current toddler in chief isn't a leader. He's a bully who won't even listen to his advisors.

Those caught illegally entering the us are facing criminal charges- they are therefore taken into custody and held
There are federal laws that determine age requirements and gender requirements on how and who you can incarcerate together
The children are not being charged but have no custodian that is legal in the US so instead of releasing them they become wards until their parents get adjudicated

Legal minds? How about just listen to the IG
Not some talking head with an agenda
