Misdemeanors....kids taken from parents over a misdemeanor.

Where is there any moral or ethical justification for such cruelty?
There is zero justification except in the warped minds of the GOP and Trump. In addition, many of them are seeking asylum in which case, by law, they are entitled to a fair process including what is supposed to be an initial hearing within a week. These parents are waiting weeks and weeks before getting one hearing. Economic migrants just trying to jump over should be processed swiftly and sent straight back. No need to separate them from their children. the right keeps trying to equate this to when US criminals go to jail they are separated from their kids, which is a false equivalence. If you get caught for a msideamor here, you're generally out pretty quick. Felony it depends on your ability to make bail. You are entitled to an attorney (asylum seekers are not) and probably you have family to take care of your children. If need be social services place them in children care - a better option than what amounts to kid prison

Prior administrations had the ability to separate families but didn't because, funny, they thought separating kids from their parents was a BAD IDEA. Trump is using the kids as political pawns to get his stupid wall built. guess what - a wall wont' stop this. If parents are desperate enough to cross hundreds of miles to take a chance to save their kids from horrible crime and violence, a wall won't stop them either. By some estimates nearly 70% enter the country legally anyway and overstay their student or tourist visas.

      Cruel and inhumane

"The small shelter along the Texas border to Mexico held 60 beds and a little playground for children. Rooms were equipped with toys, books and crayons. To Colleen Kraft, this shelter looked, in many ways, like a friendly environment for children, a place where they could be happy.

But the first child who caught the prominent pediatrician’s attention during a recent visit was anything but happy. Inside a room dedicated to toddlers was a little girl no older than 2, screaming and pounding her fists on a mat. One woman tried to give her toys and books to calm her down, but even that shelter worker seemed frustrated, Kraft told The Washington Post, because as much as she wanted to console the little girl, she couldn’t touch, hold or pick her up to let her know everything would be all right. That was the rule, Kraft said she was told: They’re not allowed to touch the children.

“The really devastating thing was that we all knew what was going on with this child. We all knew what the problem was,” Kraft said. “She didn’t have her mother, and none of us can fix that.”

Their first official act on American soil was to commit a crime and knowingly become separated from their children in a foreign country
And you think we are wrong?
How would you treat somebody breaking into your house- they are just trying to have a better life by stealing your stuff

Don't show up and abandon your kids in foreign lands
How does Mexico treat illegals on its southern border
How would Guatemala treat you and yours in the same situation?

Ellis island deported /refused thousands of undesirables.

it’s pretty much the same just better vetting now.
250,000 refused/sent back with the technology today that amount would be in the millions.

Breaking and entering is a felony. Crossing illegally is a misdemeanor but isn't even that if you're seeking asylum. Many of the families started their arduous journey weeks, even months ago before this even went into effect and didn't even know their kids would be taken from them. Even if then know they're willing to take that risk because literally their lives are at risk at home.

Syrian refugees are not separated from their children in Europe. The UN has called it illegal and inhumane. http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/un-crit...ions-1.4691801

We will show them. What kind of a country to they think this is? We go right for the kids and show them who is boss. Classic way to **** with people. This is how our new North Korean buddies handle things. Any one strops out of line - go after the kids and family.

Kim kills his own family members, so he has no issue killing others either

Syrian Refugees are real Asylum seekers. There’s a civil war going on and folks are being killed with chemical weapons.
Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras & most those African Nations are not in the same sphere.

You know I’ve worked with many from each of those countries and I’ve yet to meet someone that hates their own country or to never go back.
Nearly all speak highly of their Nation even wishing some of the family values and lifestyle could be applied here but nearly all and I say “Nearly all” who are documented Legally visit multiple times a year.

Asylum my Azz. We’ve been bull-krapped on too long.

I guess we are so much better since instead of killing anybody we just take children away form their mothers. We are so great. MAGA.

Rape is a felony charge but Groping a female on her butt or Private area is a misdemeanor.
But if you grope her Private area and claim it’s because you’re blind should we dismiss it?

Pimping is a misdemeanor, even if the girl is a minor and if she is you’ll be charged with endangering a minor another misdemeanor same charge has refusing to buckle her up in her seat belt you’re still putting her in danger.

Breaking the law is illegal unless there’s some incredible reason. If you kill a burglar who enters your house it’s still murder but in self defense. One crime committed because you were in danger of being in immediate danger.
Crossing the border from Mexico to the USA when you drove from Honduras Is not considers immediate danger of harm. They could easily settle in Mexico. Again not one of those countries are at war like Syria.
People are Syria fleeing just to get fresh water never mind saving their life’s from Islamic killers .
