You don't have to do your sneaky white power hand signals on an anonymous site.
Farm bill that passed today has reduction in Snap benefits, aka the hoodrat handout.

No proud American would continue to take a handout. I would rather the hardworking Mexican get the aid rather than a third generation welfare recipient. Time to thin the herd!

Time to seal the border. Visa and passports only. No asylum, no " catch and release " .
No papers, turn around go home.

Show us evidence of Democrats and the MSM "encouraging" illegal immigrants to enter this country.

Everything you think will happen is suspect because of how wrong you and all the experts were in 2016

No worries. The fighting going on between the Republican Party continues to be their biggest problem in governing. They cannot find a single voice for themselves. So only the loudest voice, Trump's voice, gets heard above the din. They are going to shoot themselves in the foot, much the same way the Democrats did 2 years into the Obama administration.

Americans will never embrace a life of picking fruit and sweeping floors. If they did, there would not have been jobs for the illegal immigrants in the first place.

You want to stop illegal immigration? Ruthlessly prosecute every employer who hires one. Fine and jail owners who do this and they will stop.

Then you can deal with the resulting labor shortage and watch the price of our fresh fruit and vegetables skyrocket. Dairy products, despite their ongoing government subsidies, will double in price. You want to pay $8 for a gallon of milk? You realize that is the reason that Canada imposes tariffs on our dairy exports don't you? Because our government subsidizes the dairy farmers and this allows them to price products lower than their Canadian competitors.

And the housing shortage will continue as the ability to build to meet demand will be severely compromised.

Now don't think that I'm encouraging illegal immigration. I'm absolutely in the camp that if you cross illegally, you face the criminal justice system. But I'm a realist and understand the economic negatives that come from the loss of all this cheap labor.

The solution is complicated, but there will have to be some way to keep this labor in this country long term. Just as there is a way to keep illegal immigrants off the public dole.

Yes the same Republicans who exclude Dems from discussions to even try and come up with compromise bills. The same President who vilifies the Dems on a daily basis (he had quite a rant yesterday) yet expects them to line up on his side?

Well, I might mock the Republican dominated House a bit, but the Democrats have nothing to be proud of here.

Frankly, I'm tired of all this "anything against Trump" posture. You want to beat this guy? Then pony up some solutions to be weighed against the Republican offerings.

The Republicans played this game game during the Obama administration, doing all they could to simply stop any forward progress. Sitting on judicial nominations to the Supreme Court for a year? This is how the government is to run?

Neither side of the aisle has done much in the last decade to be very proud about.

What they have accomplished is a growing sentiment for term limits, campaign finance reform and most of all, a strong feeling that the members of the government should be required to participate in the same health care offerings existing for the rest of us Americans.

You want to change Washington and the direction of this country? Get off these debates on health care, immigration and so forth. Put that all on the back burner and go after these things above. It will take a generation, but in the end, we will get appropriate leadership to take us out of all this mess.

I probably won't live to see it. But may be kids and grand kids will.

It is very complicated and Trump just wants the easy solution - no one comes in. Example: he wants to cut temporary work visas when increasing those visas would actually reduce the number of illegals coming in because it offers a way to work here for short periods of time LEGALLY. They can more readily be tracked if they are not hiding in the shadows - they have to report to authorities, pay taxes, work for employers legally or they get tossed. Once their visa is over they have to go back home and start again. He also wants to cut student visas. International students are not only a financial boon to universities (as they usually pay full boat) but they bring intellectual and cultural diversity to college campuses. They help make our universities some of the best in the world.

Trump and Congress need to take a breather and take some time to find common ground. This can't be solved over night. Rushing something through will only create more problems down the road. But he's too desperate to prove something to his base. He doesn't care about doing the right thing. The only thing he has gotten done is the tax bill. No ACA defeat, no infrastructure. He's desperate to get his wall and is using desperate families as pawns to get it.

The Dems offer solutions to all kinds of issues all the time. No one listens. They are intentionally excluded from meetings. Their bills never make it out of committee. I agree they are flawed and desperately need new leadership. But a Democracy isn't "my way or the highway." If so many Republicans weren't afraid of Trump and his base I think there would be many more solutions on the table. There are many moderate Republicans out there and there is common ground, but the GOP has been hijacked by Trump.

I agree we desperately need campaign finance reform and term limits to get back to an actual Democracy. But with a GOP controlled Congress there will never ever be reform. They're too busy trying to stay in power than doing what the American people want.

And the promised outcomes of the Tax Bill are just that....promised.

Economists have stated the initial outcome is exactly what they predicted. The vast majority of money saved through the permanent corporate tax cuts have not trickled down to the average worker. Instead, it's gone back into the market as these corporations buy back their stock. Sure the market gets hot and stock values soar, but most of America is relatively untouched by that. Eventually, this also turns the market into a bear and that beast will chew us up once again when it happens.

The trickle down theory of economic growth has shown time and time again to not work. Reagan tried it with little success. It's been tried in other nations with no success and the long term benefits to Trump's plan will remain pretty much in the corporate boardrooms and within the 2% that sit atop the wealth pyramid in this country.
