The vast majority of the dinner is speeches and awards. Boring actually to anyone outside the industry. She spoke for 20 minutes. Her comedy is known so organizers shouldn't have hired her if they had concerns. She exercised her right to free speech, even if some don't like it.

Considering how DT trashes the media he doesn't agree with and would love to not have a free press, then an evening celebrating a free and independent press is worthy. Obama certainly wasn't a fan of Fox but didn't trash or or want it shut down. My god if he talked about Fox the way Trump does about the NYT you all would have stormed the White House with tiki torches in hand.

Under obama and the liberal mob (pelousy, Chuckie 👞 mer and Bernie slanders), they tried to make it shameful to be white.....every white man was a racist, every cop crooked and being white made me privledged and I should be ashamed of it. 8 years or that made me somewhat bitter.

I have no problems with gays, blacks and hispanics as long as they are republicans. The us needs landscapers, fashion designers and professional football and basketball players. I like most women, just not the old broads in the congress who claim to be American Indians or the ones who have servers in thier basements. Arabs and Muslims serve no purpose and I have no love for them and would be happy if we shut down immigration from the Middle East and the radical southeast Asian and former Russian satellite countries where these terrorists in waiting come from.

you are wrong about Obama and fox- he also hated Rush and told people to not listen to either- nobody equated that as a threat on free speech

the Constitution wants a Free press- they expected it to tell the facts to the people and let them decide and that would be fine today- a Free press isnt a network whose mission it is to take down a govt based on BS- nobody complained that woodward and bernstein had an agenda-they may have but they also had real facts

I remember IMUS getting killed for hammering Clinton, that was the last time a dem got beat up.

It is good. Good for working people who save money in 401Ks, IRAs, 403Bs, etc. Bad for hood rats and welfare recipients who are a blight on the azz of humanity because they don't work and/or save money for the future. It wasn't always particularly funny (although her joke about Sanders using the burnt ashes of facts to create a smoky eye was brilliant) but it certainly was very biting. Not only did the administration get hammered but so did the media. She was right - they created the monster and have profited from him. It is a roast, meant to lighten what is generally a long boring night. Other comedians have landed sharp attacks in the past with no blowback. I think some jokes landed hard because they spoke the truth. If organizers wanted a soft-all comedian there were many others to fit the bill.

-Economy had recovered after Obama took over and corrected what the GOP trashed. Trump's tariff wars, rising interest rates, and massive deficit will stifle continued growth. Stock market is overheated thanks to the tax break resulting in stock buybacks, not investment
-NK and SK were at a stalemate; the term war is merely a technicality. 99% of the diplomatic heavy lifting was between the two countries, with China helping. Nothing is set in stone yet either. Kim is a shrewd M'fer.
-The supposed propaganda swings both ways. You just don't like what some outlets have to say, outlets that actually use facts and reporting. Alex Jones and Pizzagate ring a bell?
- We've always had border security and illegal crossings have been down for the last several years + Obama did more deportations than Bush ever did

All that's happening in "korea" is that South Korea is aligning itself with China. US is becoming an untrustworthy ally to South Korea. -Laughing stock of the world? Only a liberal looks to other countries acceptance as a measure of status. He is the only one that has gotten North Korea to this point.
