The reality so far is that the largest bulk of monies being saved by corporations due to this tax cut are being spent by these corporations to buy back stock. There are far fewer wage increases and bonuses going on out here than we were promised.

But then, this is what most economists projected what would happen.

If a company thinks their stock is undervalued, why wouldn't they buy it back at a cheaper price....isn't that smart. I will admit I am not an economist. The company realizes the benefit, as do shareholders as their holdings in the company keep their value or appreciate no?

Creates a small bubble, which isn't a big deal one company at a time. Combine it across many companies and you have an overheated market. Once earnings reports start coming it's then clear company foundations aren't rock solid.

They also file valuation documents and announce earnings- are you saying that every company post fraudulent data? Why exactly would a company drive up its stock price if it was buying back the stock? Wouldnt that hurt its earnings if it was paying top dollar for itself
