Perhaps he can just stand and salute....but he also may not realize he is offending you (or others) by how he embraces the flag?....If i were to flip you the bird (middle finger) you (or someone else) would rightfully be offended....But do that to somebody in Greece they would not be offended at all as they are not familiar with the custom.....

So in essence I will stress for all Americans (weather left or right) to communicate our thoughts clearly and we should all be understanding of others and their backgrounds.

Do you have a good memory? You DO remember the Republicans demonizing Obama for casually saluting his subordinates ? My vet dad told me not all generals returned the salutes of the enlisted men (those that did were favorites with the enlistees and draftees ) but the Commander in Chief “casually” returned the salute of an officer when he deplaned and Republicans lost their sh** over it.
