And who are you to say whether they were lying about a material fact? I would say it's pretty material to lie about your meetings with Russian operatives a few months back. They didn't lie about the date of their meetings. Stop trying to downplay the role of these criminal.
As to what they plead to, well that was part of the deal. Most were charged with a lot more. They were given lighter sentences for lighter crimes based on the extent of the cooperation that they offered. Flynn and Gates are good examples. They did a whole lot of bad and treasonous stuff but plead to a minor crime. Manafort was similar but now the hammer is coming down on all of this criminal activity related to his work for the Trump campaign and his criminal conduct that cheated the US taxpayers of tens of millions of dollars. And guess what, that's all about Russia. It's no coincidence.
So we have a known liar as our president who lied over and over about his and his administration's contacts with Russia. Who continues to deny that Russia interfered in our elections to help Trump over the finish line. Who has never once said ANYTHING negative about Putin. Who was in negotiations with Russia for the entire time he was campaigning while lying and intentionally misleading the American public about his contacts with Russia. Who tried in vein to cover up the contacts with Russia until he no longer could. And whose underlings got caught lying about contacts with Russia. Yet you somehow see no evidence of collusion or a conspiracy? Come on now.
Flynn - Lied about contacts with Russians
Papadapoulous - Lied about contacts regarding Russia
Gates - Lied about his contacts with Russians
Manafort - Lied about his contacts related to Russia
Cohen - Lied about Trump's contacts, negotiations and dealings with Russia
Those are no process crimes. They are attempts to cover up a deep relationship with Russia, our country's top adversary, who criminally interfered in our elections to help Trump. There sure is an awful lot of evidence of collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign. Yet you Trumpians somehow say there is none.

People of color, people of certain religions and sexual orientation knew the hatred was always there.
White liberals have been using black folk for political gain since the 60s.
Malcolm X, 1963: "In this deceitful American game of power politics, the Negroes (i.e., the race problem, the integration and civil rights issues) are nothing but tools, used by one group of whites called Liberals against another group of whites called Conservatives, either to get into power or to remain in power.... The white liberal differs from the white conservative only in one way: the liberal is more deceitful than the conservative. The liberal is more hypocritical than the conservative. Both want power, but the white liberal is the one who has perfected the art of posing as the Negro's friend and benefactor; and by winning the friendship, allegiance, and support of the Negro, the white liberal is able to use the Negro as a pawn or tool in this political "football game" that is constantly raging between the white liberals and white conservatives."

Question Man Responds
Originally posted by Unregistered View PostCome on Snowflake. Your genius analysis is that people in political circles lie? Brilliant. As the other poster said those are process crimes. Before the investigation no Russia related crimes were committed. Muller has not indicted anyone in the trump campaign for a Russia related offense that occurred before the investigation started. The investigation created crimes. Process crimes.
Why do you feel the need to hide behind semantics?
Are they not crimes that took place, yes or no? If not, then how do you get indictments and arrest people?
Shouldn't we be glad these criminal acts were discovered as part of this investigation? Do you not want criminal acts found out and those guilty of them to face justice?

Merry Christmas from Donald Trump
Originally posted by Unregistered View PostContact with Russians is not illegal otherwise John Kerry would be in jail now for his recent contact with Iran (which actually he probably should be). Lying to the FBI is illegal (unless of course you are someone like Andrew McCabe or Hillary Clinton) and yes they are process crimes. An obvious double standard of justice exists in this country.

So, I had that belief initially after reviewing, you know, a large binder of her emails that had classified information in them, he said. And I discussed it internally with a number of different folks, and eventually became persuaded that charging her was not appropriate because we could not establish beyond a reasonable doubt that we, the government, could not establish beyond a reasonable doubt that she had the intent necessary to violate (the law).
