So lets fix the immigration laws, to let people in to work, if the work is there.

If employers are trying to game the system and hire illegals to save money, that employer must be shut down and sent to jail.

Easier sais then done. Obama insisted on a " path to citizenship" as part of ANY negotiations regarding immigration law. Since 2005, many Democrats have one more to the left, and many are insisting on some measure of amnesty. Pelosi and Schumer are on record as saying pretty watch what Obama is quoted. Again, that was then, this is now , the newer to the Left Democratic party.

Make it easier to legal workers to work here at our sh*t jobs that no one wants, hence reducing illegal immigrants. Vet 'em, track 'em, don't allow them to use social services, send 'em back after a few years. Severely punish companies for hiring them - I mean make it hurt, not the joke that it is now. End birthright citizenship (we're one of only a handful of countries that still do that). Strengthen the border (but don't build a wall, that's a waste for the numbers it would actually stop) and beef up tracking of entrants (since an estimated 70% actually enter the country legally then stay).

These are all things both sides mostly agree on yet can't seem to get anything done in the GOP controlled Congress. The Dems haven't had control since 2010.
