What should the Fed do in regards to deflation or disinflation? Those are equally monetary imbalances that should be addressed, no? Should the Fed attempt to lower rates in times of recession, or is the tea party opposed to that as well?
The statements from the republicans had nothing to do with economics. It was all about politics Michelle Bachman and the rest were just obstructionist, they wanted this to blow up in Obama's face.
Party over country, in plain site.

Protest sign:
Note to Idiots
It's not suddenly safe to be openly racist in public just because the president is racist. He has bodyguards. You don't.

I'm all for many immigration reforms. But the Trump administration has now proven it never was about illegal immigration. It was about racism all along. If you're here legally and meet all the requirements for any types of programs you shouldn't be punished for that , especially AFTER the fact. Even more absurd is Obamacare required purchasing healthcare. So now they'll be punished for following the law?
The administration can't keep changing the rules on the people following the rules. if this is their tact they should punish US citizens for using services too. A lot of them are also white Trump supporters. Moving forward if they want that to be the rule that's one thing - it's cruel but whatever. It definitely would limit immigration without even having to have other limits put in place. But you can't keep moving the goalpost on nearly 20M people already here legally. Same with DACA, which is simply about undoing an Obama program.
"In a new report, NBC News found that the administration is trying to unilaterally impose a policy that would bar immigrants from either citizenship or green cards if they've ever used any of a range of social services, including the Affordable Care Act. Per NBC News:
Details of the rulemaking proposal are still being finalized, but based on a recent draft seen last week and described to NBC News, immigrants living legally in the U.S. who have ever used or whose household members have ever used Obamacare, children's health insurance, food stamps and other benefits could be hindered from obtaining legal status in the U.S."
