I've thought about this. Wouldn't' it be fun if we had an age group "CT Champions League" or something. An August "fun" tournament with the two ECNL sides, the two MLSn sides, the winner of the CT Cup and the State Cup and EDP (whatever, I know the ages don't work out like this but you get the point) all play each other.

It's supposed to wind up with FSA vs OW every year, but so what. Would be more fun at younger ages where some travel teams could make some noise as the clubs haven't grabbed 'em all yet.

Huge recruiting opportunity! LOL.

Not that long ago we had that - it was called State Cup and most clubs participated. It actually used to mean something.

the one that looks like the biggest idiot is RD thinking he can have CM and EP be the coaches that leads all the older teams. both are clowns. CM is a typical HS soccer coach, EP not to far behind.

RD really screwed the club on the girls side by letting MC go --- and if he had any clue and was actually vested in the girls' side of things he would watch '06 games and realize that CM only plays kickball --- there has been NO development whatsoever. Or all RD has to do is ask any parent (which he would never do) or player or, again, simply watch a game or two. And anyone who has a clue about the game, and watches the '06 team play can see it. Those girls played a beautiful possession style up until COVID hit and then CM took over.....'04 team plays a solid possession style, with overlaps, 1-2's, build-up, solid teamwork, etc, '05 team is similar but also has a lot of individual talent which wins games-- but both these teams were groomed and developed by MC and the recent '05 run to the GA semis was pretty much due to him. And what does RD do?? -- He fires MC and promotes CM to be head coach of like 3 teams. Unfortunately, the '07's will become even more abysmal.....sad

Right...NEFC, who just won a national title in NC, is "very weak competition" -- you might want to do your homework before completely revealing your stupidity and your desire to simply troll posts. And I am not sure who the "2 foot 2007" superstars are (were??).....but I was told everyone coming back to the '06 team but one...

Make it to the final 4 in GAL you're going to be pretty good, but you walked over a lot of weak teams to get there. In any one region it's pretty much 1-2 strong clubs and the rest very weak. Training will only get you so far. You need good games too.

We never played FSA's 05's. The 05 girls would dismantle fsa. Not even a game

That 04 team isn’t great at all; but yes, the 05 has strong individuals. The 06 and 07 are fairly poor too; so you’re right on that.

Oakwood is all but done. The GA is very poor competition. Players don’t develop playing against weak opponents and in an environment where the speed of play is that slow. The transition to the next level is too hard to adjust to
