They will roster 22. Correct, only 18 can dress for the game the others will stay home. You usually find out on Friday night if your kid is playing or not. Its usually the same kids that sit out every week.

Why don't they drop the kids that don't dress in ECNL game down to the ECNL R team and make the bottom ECNL R kids sit out? Makes no sense.

Because it’s more money and if parents are stupid enough to put their kid on a team and the kid never sees the field then of course they will take 22.

She’s too small. I can tell you a few names are on there more for size than talent. Perhaps they can do something with the big legs?

Lies... just have right connections and your kid will play. You can also do some serious a** kissing and it works too. Perhaps becoming the team’s manager, that’s also a plus.

There is a lot of truth to this; so you’re both right. The strong players get most of the playing time (as they should) but if the roster is deep then the ones with the “connections” get rostered. Or coaches preference. One coaches jewel is another’s trash. I’m sure this happens at most clubs, but CFCU has huge rosters so it’s a bit more glaring. And many don’t want to believe this; but girls are still developing their game during the high school age so it is especially difficult if they don’t play at all. At the end of the day you’re there to play.
