Oakwood had a very respectable girls program before the academy. In fact, the college placement was better. The club lost players immediately when the GA was announced and several of them are playing in D1 programs now. OW definitely not able to attract and retain quality players with the HS rule. This should help for sure.
I do feel bad for the kids that got caught in this experiment and missed out on quality life experiences. The sacrifice certainly did not play out in the recruiting.Comment

I think it started when my now senior was a freshman. So 3 for GDA, 4 if you include GAL? Year 1 I thought it had a shot - plenty of good clubs were in it but my kid no interest in moving or giving up HS. I don't think anyone expected so many clubs to drop out so fast through. Yep. 2017-18 first year then 18-19, 19-20 and GDAP was dead .... This year is first got GAL. I knew before year 1 it was destined to fail. No one came to Oakwood at any ages and everyone knew they added too many clubs at all the wrong ages.
