The varsity roster has 2 to 3 kids that play club. Some don't even play town travel. My oldest daughter suffered a strained hamstring her junior year and had to go through hours of PT to heal. In her senior year, she felt tightness and told the coach she couldn't go back into a game. The coach told her she had to and when my daughter refused, she was subsequently benched for the rest of the year. My other daughter, after watching the other team take the opening kick down the field, while literally dribbling around 5 different kids and scoring, called out the teams effort. For this she was suspended for a game. And because she had called out the most popular kid on the team, the other girls then ostracized her the rest of the year to the point where the refused to pass her the ball - as she was playing CM. And finally my son who was a freshman GK was pulled aside by the varsity coach and was told that he was by far the most talented GK he had but he wasn't going to put him on varsity because it would upset some of the seniors.

HS soccer can be about what you wrote. It can also be incredibly ugly.

There are definitely girls that purposely don’t pass to other girls. Mostly because they are jealous and don’t want to see the other one succeed. The sad thing is they are too dumb to realize that it ultimately hurts the team. Then the parents sit there dumbfounded as to why the team is losing. Priceless!

OW is really going to need to up the dosage on the kool aid they serve parents.

If OW comes in force to the tryout, the 07 CFC United team will be upgraded for sure.

OW 2007s are terrible! Maybe 5th or 6th in the state.

                          2006

2006 OW girls are way better than the weak 2006 CFC Ecni squad. Interesting to see what happens there. My guess is CFC just keeps the same team together that never wins.

I’m sure CFC will take full advantage of failing DA to add players in most age groups. FSA will as well

Oakwood 06 parent here. Yes, the 06 team was not the strong. We had a few 2007 kids have to play up to supplement our roster. The true 06 kids on our roster are pretty decent. We played FSA ECNL O6 and lost 1-0. I think a few of our kids will try to move to them. The trip to Bethany is pretty far for most of us.
