      EXCELLENT QUESTION!

CFC & FSA still holding out hope for some summer season because US Club has not cancelled yet.

Do you always answer your own posts? It is easy to tell because of all your errors. You look silly!
CFC is not CFc, barely holding o n? You meant on?

Crap on that all you want, but if it wasn't happening there never would have been all this angst over giving it up.

If you don't want to play HS you don't have to. No one is being forced to play.

Well I'm glad you are enjoying the experience. For our family its been awful. My kids go to a school that consistently wins about 4 games a year. The varsity roster has 2 to 3 kids that play club. Some don't even play town travel. My oldest daughter suffered a strained hamstring her junior year and had to go through hours of PT to heal. In her senior year, she felt tightness and told the coach she couldn't go back into a game. The coach told her she had to and when my daughter refused, she was subsequently benched for the rest of the year. My other daughter, after watching the other team take the opening kick down the field, while literally dribbling around 5 different kids and scoring, called out the teams effort. For this she was suspended for a game. And because she had called out the most popular kid on the team, the other girls then ostracized her the rest of the year to the point where the refused to pass her the ball - as she was playing CM. And finally my son who was a freshman GK was pulled aside by the varsity coach and was told that he was by far the most talented GK he had but he wasn't going to put him on varsity because it would upset some of the seniors.

HS soccer can be about what you wrote. It can also be incredibly ugly.

Where do you live? In our town, they all support each other. My son goes to the football games and they come to the soccer games .... And they watch the girls games and the girls watch them whenever they can. Our playoff games were packed, even at the neutral sites our school sends two buses full of students .... Plus those who drive on their own.

So, you probably live in a class S town where only 2 or 3 good players can win a state title. That is far from our experience in a L/LL school. But I still want my kids to know that their team will do well or not based on their effort and if you can't turn it around, just do your absolute best. That's plenty for us. Too many kids not willing to try to fix what is broken .... They sit on the outside and heckle ..... Most are not capable of making it better and most don't care to try because they are afraid for failing and being exposed.

Sounds like you are over exaggerating here. Also sounds like you have an over inflated opinion on your kids.

Not only that but it's good for kids to learn how to handle difficult or even less than ideal situations. Life won't always go as planned.

UGH!! Seriously, can you imagine this parent? This is the parent that is a cancer. Her/his kids are perfect. This is why, as a parent, I do my best to stay away from ones like this!

Found this on the Coaches Talking Soccer Forum: My experience has been awful coaching in high school. I'm glad you are enjoying the experience. For me, its been awful. I have kids that consistently wins about 4 games a year. My varsity roster has 2 to 3 kids that play club. All the others play indoor only with limited practice or on their town travel team in the spring being coached by a dad who coaches so he can see his kids more than every other weekend. Some don't even play town travel but have an expectation of being on the field. They feel it needs to be a part of their high school expeirence regardless if they are awful at it. I had a player who suffered a strained hamstring her junior year and had to go through hours of PT to heal. Parents should have realized rest would be the answer rather than aggrevating it more with PT. But the kid enjoyed the attention she got at physical therapy. Didn't get what she needed at home. In her senior year, she felt tightness and told the coach she couldn't go back into a game. Of course it's really because she was horrible on the field and we were getting beat, but was her excuse to come off the field. I told her she had to because whining doesn't equal winning. This prima dona, who has a mom that will bark until she is heard, refused, I benched her ace for the rest of the year. Her sister, after watching the other team take the opening kick down the field, while literally dribbling around 5 different kids and scoring, called out the teams effort. She's got a big mouth and nothing is her fault, like her parents. I showed her by suspending her for a game. And she called out a player who is an honors student and plays on a premier team on the team. She has a big mouth like her mom. I pulled her from that game. The other girls were so thankful that I did that. They said, it's about time! The team refused to pass her the ball the rest of the year - as she was playing CM. Ever see a CM run around the field and not know their position. Yup, that's her. And finally their brother who was a freshman GK was pulled aside by my fellow HS coach and was told that he was by far the worst GK he had and he wasn't going to put him on varsity because it would upset some of the seniors knowing he let a player on so bad. Anyone else got any horrible parents they want to vent about?

Good thing liquor stores are essential.
OW is really going to need to up the dosage on the kool aid they serve parents.
Going to take serious impairment to sign up for and year.
