How many parents on your kids team played college soccer? Be honest.
Then how many have any coaching experience? I've none outside of ulittle rec soccer. Once I was out of my element I passed my kids on to people who have much more experience than I do. I drive my kids to games and cheer on the teams. That's it.

Does OW teach tactics at ulittle? No they don't they focus on individual technical training.
How hard is it to see if a kid is beating another kid in a 1 on 1 drill or doing good in a rondo?
So again OW coach, why does OW only care about 5 kids at ulittle and treat the rest like a training cone?

At u15 and below ALL the kids that make the team should be treated the same and the OW staff should strive to develop them all. 3/4 of the kids stop caring at 14 because they finally had enough of being a training cone for the other 1/4 of the team.

The young studs will still ben the better of most clubs, there might be 1-2 that can jump in to the top 10%, but the rest are good to average 5-18. It is always the parents of the 10-18 kids that are jealous and spout off with, "If my kid got the extra love, she would be the same as 1-5"........Which is BS. Stop complaining and know where your kid stands and enjoy their ability and their drive to compete no matter if its GDA/ECNL/ECRL/NPL/Travel. Just stop complaining and let your kid play to the best of their ability and enjoy watching the studs because you'll someday say that your lil Mia was on that kids team when they were young. SMH

FSA has MD doing all their talking and he is the only one.
CFC has TP and he does plenty of calls that the coaches don't help with because they are trying to scoop them up for themselves. (MM, DC) SD will help also.
So it's pretty simple that the best kids will go where their best chance to play at the next level gets them seen. Kids will email and if they play on a better team, then they'll be seen by a better group of schools. If they don't, then they are limited and the local coaches that will pick up the scraps.

They are the parents that force their kids to train everyday, yell at them constantly and are vocal about other kids besides their own.
So I keep asking OW coach. What is the criteria to be a chosen one? It is not the best player on the field. Is it the best parent back in the coaches office? Why do you refuse to answer?

Why because OW sucks at talent identification at ytl and ulittle. Their must be other reasons why they choose who they do because I can't believe they are really that bad.

The 5 chosen ones are the epitomy of what you wrote above. The parents of the chosen ones corner the coaches at every opportunity, make nice-nice to DF and RD. Have their personnel cell numbers. They know what is going on before any other parent on the team or before it is emailed out by the coach.

If DF or RD didn’t give you the line to their bat phone, then you aren’t Commissioner Gordon. You just another parent of an average kid.
