I’m not the OP, just observing that this bothers you way too much. Let me guess; new to OW? Your kid played at ginga either last year or the year before?

My guess is that if you went to DF and RD and specifically asked them if players could do Futsal with an outside club the answer would be NO. They've never been flexible with this stuff.

And yet many do it anyway. One indoor a week for 4.5 winter months just isn't quite enough OW .... Following another USSDA rule to the letter.

Not too perplexing; OW is full of it and people are (finally) starting to see through the facade. Their own arrogance and contradictory behavior brought on this hate. It’s less about the kids and more about their ridiculousness as a club.

You people are clueless. They can play whatever supplemental futsal they want in the winter. It isn’t soccer. Many even non DA clubs try to make you sign a similar contract. It means nothing They can not enforce it number one and futsal isn’t soccer. It is another sport Unless you are one of the last players on the squad you can get high school soccer waivers as well. They (DA) aren’t a pro team and don’t own their players. Kids can do whatever they want in the offseason. Clubs aren’t going to kick off their good players unless they miss DA activities. That is a fact.

Yankee says the same thing in their contract. No outside soccer or futsal. Half the club plays town as well and outside futsal. So dumb to think you have the power to control
Kids outside activities.

Academy is a full year commitment nimrod

Yup sure is. From first practices in August to last games in June you belong to USSF and have to follow their rules. Poorly run clubs like OW aren't giving players what they need/were promised. Plenty aren't doing the mandated 4x/ week and winter training is a joke. No wonder players are looking for more. It isn't allowed as per DA rules but OW knows they can't be hard azzed about it

YU is a joke in many ways but their "rules" aren't league rules. DA players sign a contract with USSF and they can be suspended and even booted if they're caught. Clubs are supposed to be keeping their players in check

Did Oakwood buy an old hockey facility for their indoor space? Or bring in the boards from somewhere else? Just curious.

If I remember correctly, I think it was an old tennis facility and they brought in boards. That was “true” indoor soccer back then (80’s).

CFC is planning on installing boards on their outdoor fields as soon as they install lights. This will help players from kicking the ball into the parking lot
