None of this is unusual. Of the friends who moved away, some I remain friends with. Some of my old HS teammates I remain friends with. Some of my club hockey friends remain. Those I am most close to, however, I didn't play any sports with other than when we were really young.
I enjoyed my time playing HS sports. But, they were my memories. Hard to say what I would've done in today's environment. I am sure I would not have played 3 HS sports though. I likely would've played one, but if I specialized (which I should have) in 1-2 I could easily see bypassing it. But, again, hard to say since everyone is different.
I can offer my advice to her, that's all can do. If she wants to choose her own path, I will support it and not try to convince her otherwise.Comment

Why chose between club and HS, when you can have the best of both? Play for a state title in front of a large crowd, get on TV in the papers, party with your teammates, make all star teams, then when it’s over, spend the rest of the year playing with and against future D1 talent.
