Are you contending it's not the best team they can put together? Who should be on that roster that is not? Are you in a position to evaluate all the possible candidates and assess their comparative abilities as players and athletes and determine who should make this team and who should not?

There are many hopefuls at that age. Many will fade away, very few make it to the top. And it's not like GDA got her there. Good genes, hard work, and by all accounts a club that bends over backwards for her while ignoring many others. Sound familiar?

Until the waivered kids come back and then the roster sizes will go up and the placeholders will go back to the NPL teams to bolster their numbers.

U17/2003 Academy roster tells the story. That's a disaster.

Also highlights the trouble with combined age group rosters. OW probably lost a ton of 03 players when that group was previously combined with another age.

Either way, you have to be out of your mind to have your kid be part of this mess. What's the point?

Think about these 03 players. They've made it all this way and now every weekend the club is going to have to wire together a team of kids "playing up". What happens at showcase events when you can't play for two teams in a weekend.

There's no way to positively spin not being able to field full rosters. Not to mention if the numbers are light, there are without a doubt players that aren't up to the task of playing at the DA/ECNL level.

I would say that I'm shocked but most saw this coming.
