The coach that is trying to make a dollar. but dont blame the coach. blame the folks that buy into it. then 5,6, or 7 years later find out GDA has little advantage over other options. She also was never able to play with her friends and now is going to have to suffer playing with others in D3 college who never even played premier soccer.

I think you should take a look at some DIII rosters, most have played at higher level, especially here in the Northeast. People that assume just because you play at the ECNL or DA level that you automatically want and have to play DI...smh

Our club contract guarantees d1 or a full refund of your club dues

Wow, is this OW daddy-coach club still in business? How?

And plenty played at lower level clubs. You simply don't need FA or even ECNL for that. If you're really good and want D3 (and many will) at least leverage that into a higher academic program

Happens all the time at all ages and gender. It isn't the only path. For boys it's better path for higher level D1 but still isn't a necessity for lower level D1 D2 or D3. For girls it isn't a necessity at all. That might change but not any time soon, probably after all of us have kids through the system

Ummm.....You still need the ACADEMICS to get into those schools. Good soccer just gets the invite, but the grades NEED to be up to par.

There's still some wriggle room on admissionsif toure a top prospect. An Endicott kid won't get into William's but there's a lot of other good schools in between

You also need to like the school and feel comfortable, you can’t be stuck on a name. Has to be a good fit all around and soccer should be the last consideeation, after all once college is done, soccer is done.. wether you play D1,2 or 3 after college that is it... no one will remember you... so have fun in college and don’t get caught up in the aspect of playing soccer

These clubs being so desperate for players lie to many of them about their potential. Then they will realize they are only qualified to attend an overpriced country club to play soccer.
Have you seen D1 soccer? Men, women, it doesnt matter. Go watch UCONN or CCSU. Most of it is absolute garbage ..... faster and more athletic than lower divisions for sure, but very sloppy, ugly, and riddled with kids with not great technical skills and fewer soccer smarts. All you care about is that the name of the school your kid goes to is recognizable .... you wouldn't know good soccer if it fell onto your face and wiggled.

Ask RD at OW .... in no uncertain terms, he stated that GDA will be the ONLY pathway to D1 and the USWNT.

I cal BS on that. I was at all 3 tryout sessions where RD gave a talk to parents and he never said that OW was the only pathway. He did say it was "a" pathway but that was it. The parent who told you that most likely heard what they wanted to hear.

Your kid was that bad that you were at 3 tryout sessions? Don’t be shocked when they play at ECSU
