The boards aren't the reason teams don't play there.

whats wrong with the boards? especially during winter play. it increases the speed of play, works on fitness as the game is non stop and makes you play in small tighter spaces.

go to cfc, fsa, tolland bubble, east windsor and watch an winter indoor game its like watching paint dry when bad teams (which are most of them) are playing. the ball goes out of bounds ever 5 seconds becasue of the level of play is so bad.

people dont like the boards at ow becasue they dont have the speed or technical skills to play there in the winter, thats why teams dont play there!

        # save the boards at ow!!!!!

I like the boards, have played there for many years and my daughter's team goes up there too, but the general consensus out there are OW coaches are idiots and don't mind pasting a younger team by 20 goals. that's what you get with jokewood, bunch of has been coaches thinking that pounding a team 2 years younger is the way to please jokewood parents. Play apples to apples and more teams would go there.

goes to show what you know. Almost all the OW teams play one to two years up in age.

Predictions for NYCFC coming in this weekend to OW ? Every age group-
                14- L
                15-W
                17-L
                19-?

                Correct?

So when an OW player is under pressure, they pass it to themselves off the boards rather than work their way out of pressure or find a teammate. Kids who don't train with boards, don't do that. It's not better or worse, just different.

Winter indoor or futsal is fun and does increase speed of play. But, you have to have the correct players to do it. It should be every once in a while not all the time. They all need a break during the winter season to rest up; heal; learn to miss the game again; have some down time so no overuse injuries for spring, etc. I see many kids that have overuse injuries in the spring because of the lack of rest from fall to winter to spring.

These are not professionals and even they take some down time.

Are you a doctor (you say you see many kids with overuse injuries in the Spring) or just an annoying know it all parent?

futsal/indoor is primarily for the younger teams. The older teams don't participate. Younger kids are made out of rubber and can go forever. They also aren't practicing or playing many regular games in the winter when these games are going on. Once they start hitting puberty is when you see the injuries ramp up.

                                - not with OW
