OW is just posting to stay relevant. Most HS soccer players still playing are having the time of their lives and if they advance will be playing in front hundreds and even thousands (1500 people at FCIAC final last year) of their friends, family and community. Some the best memories of theirs lives. While OW academy kids practice/play games with a few parents watching against mostly B and C level teams/clubs. Remember all the top clubs in country went back to ECNL and they subsequently fired April H because of this disaster called academy. But keep the USWNT dream alive you delusional idiot. LOL

The jury is out on the girl's DA. At least up here it's clearly the B league and involves substantial travel and expense. A healthy majority of which is a waste of time as you are driving hours and sometimes paying for hotels only to have the games be absolute blowouts.
Sure the training is better than what you get from HS coaches but it's only 3 months. There is also no college recruiting advantage because college coaches are in season from 8/1 to 11/15. They aren't going to events at this time and most have conference games on Saturdays which prohibit them from attending DA games.
OW was a better place with highly ranked and regarded NPL teams. Their recruiting age teams were getting into top flights at Jeff Cup and even PDA. Throw in CASL or Disney and there was plenty of exposure. Top kids could also go to ID2 and training centers. OW Girls in the current form is total suckers bet.
