I think there's some confusion on how the ECNL super cup will be implemented nationally but don't forget in other parts of the country HS soccer is in the Spring and Club in the Fall. Not clear if this runs through individual club team's respective seasons or a 10 month program. I believe the former.

The bottom line is that there will be an "all-star team" from each ECNL club that does separate training in addition to that of their regular team. On occasion, these teams will play each other. It has no bearing on HS and doesn't change anything for CFC or FSA. CFC is ahead of the game as they have had the CFC Academy run by DC for years already.

Ct does not allow HS play at same time as any premier so no super cup high schoolers ct sucks

FSA boys ECNL went to Richmond Jefferson Cup 1st weekend of March. I think it was u-14 & u-15. Technically not a showcase format.
FSA also fielded a ECNL conference Super Cup team that same weekend.
Scouts at both events I am told.

Let's stop this ******* contest. There haven't been showcases in 2020 outside of perhaps whatever was held in January, ECNL FL comes to mind.

Best prospects for a showcase would be the PDA event in May. There won't be anything this winter.

If a kid is making the super team, would they really want to play HS? And anyway, its still their choice, unlike what DA did and even GA, where its still team's discretion to play games during HS season.

Forget showcase Oakwood would not put us in any tournament's I am sure to save money and also to not let the parents see how good some ECNL teams are compared to Oakwood. We had two in our backyard but no lets go play sporting or CT rush or vail and kill them makes sense.

That was the impression I got and makes the most sense - it's also not realistic to run a super league on any basis due to geography. This seems like an extra thing on top of regular ECNL activities. Nice easy way for top players to get scouted by coaches too without going to showcases
