Because there's 100 other tournaments this weekend with more teams to see per event. OPI is a joke for recruiting. A few mediocre teams and that's it. Fine for younger teams that don't want to travel but that is all.Originally posted by Unregistered View PostComment

OPI is a nice little tournament. It is definitely not a college showcase. Simply a money maker for Oakwood and local tournament t for younger teams. Secondary teams for high school ages. Nobody claiming anything different. Most of the brackets were filled with Oakwood, Beachside, Sporting and W Mass Pioneers (who seem to have fallen on hard times).Comment

Money grab teams- I love this. Is anyone selling that the NPL and DA teams are the same? They have two levels, based on talent, commitment (no HS), whatever..people are not confused. I think the second tier OW teams have the potential to be the best of the second tier programs out there.
OPI is a crappy way to spend your weekend- if your kid is HS age, absolutely. It is garbage. If you are a u-little? Paradise. No long weekend in New Jersey? Sold.Comment
