Not an OW parent either but if OW and FSA played in ECNL and CFC tried to get in but OW/FSA blocked them, could you blame CFC for going the DA route? Does that automatically make every parent think that their kid playing at CFC is going to play on the USNWT? Could you blame any club for trying to get in as competitive league as they can? I have really good friends that their kids go there and I haven't heard anything about parents sending their kids to OW so they can play on the USWNT. Matter of fact, I've just never heard of that period. I just think thats a popular saying on TS and just assumed by non-OW people. Just saying.

Isn't it refreshing to find people here who think with a reasonably sane mind?

Youth soccer has become a means to an end for a lot of people. Love of the game seems to be less and less of a reason to play.

And what evidence or proof do you offer to this position you take? Do you really feel you have your finger on the pulse of why all these kids play soccer all across this nation?

I'm just saying that I live next to a guy who has a daughter at OW and this guy just doesn't shut up and his daughter is also part of a team that plays at another facility with different jerseys but all ow kids and they run up scores on really terrible town travel teams with a d1ckwad Dad as coach. Yeah we play in same facility and to watch those OW idiot parents cheer like they won the world cup after every goal is pretty pathetic. Just a pathetic lot all around. OW people suck

Never said all kids all across the nation. I said it SEEMS that A LOT of kids are using soccer as a means to an end. My evidence is what I observe on my kids team and from reading commentary on TS.

So, what is your issue? You don't like proud parents? You don't like teams playing to their potential? You don't like poor teams playing over their heads in leagues above their class?

We were just at the CFC presidents day tourney and to see CFC parents act was just as bad. Happens everywhere. your attitude is what makes other clubs "suck". Not all parents are like that and the bad ones are represented in all clubs. also, you need to get over it.

Just because of this post, i called Oakwood and withdrew my daughter from the club. Thank God you enlightened all of us. Now my kid is going to go play Chess where there are no parents cheering and my kid can play in the club and High School. Thank God you sent me on the right path!
