You guys are a rough around the edges
Originally posted by Unregistered View PostA few might if they're interested in sending their kid to either club. Watching teams in action is the great way to assess talent and coaching. Otherwise, no. I'd rather watch paint dry. I get enough soccer with my own kids.
I know a guy who lost his son and his wife in a car accident many years ago, his son was a u-little soccer player. He still attends the SAME age soccer games in the area he lives. Its how he deals with his loss.
You guys all need to grow up a bit. Life isn't just about how much you pay for your kids activities, and what coaches you like/dislike, or who is better, or who is going to NYCFC.
Now the poster may be high, or he may just be giving free information.
I think the point is more ... why do you care? If the post is useless to you, then you just pass it by and ignore it.

And really, in this day and age it's also seen as very creepy, even if well intended.

Moving on....
Ok lets all move on.
This chat room is about BS being BS.
I liked the original post of the schedule vs NYSC.
My son plays at NYSC, so I'm pretty excited for tomorrow. I won't stay and watch other games, but the 07's games should be AWESOME!
I know a little bit about the other teams, like the 06 team which has a bunch of ex Beachside players who came to NYSC over the past few years, and a bunch this year. That game will have some interest.
I know a few of the older ages teams have had 1-2 new Beachside players as well. So the players/families jumping from Beachside to NYSC does have some intrigue to the day... but I'll watch my 07 game, and may stick around for a first half or so of the 06 game after.
FORECAST
07's - NYSC wins both
06 - NYSC wins
05 - NYSC wins
Beyond that I have no idea, I think the older age groups is a different era, and Beachside may have the advantage there. But I think there is a chance of a full NYSC sweep ... but I'm banking on the two older age groups delivering big time.
I think the U-15 is a pick em
I think the U-17 has a slant towards Beachside, after all this is NYSC first year in U-16/17

PS - I’m likely younger than you, my kid is only 14... relax this board is supposed to be fun right? I suggest you lighten up and have a little or else find another board that’s all facts and serious topics. And stop calling people doosh and telling them what to do.

U-little
I've never really liked that expression, I don't think it captures the TIME. If U-12 Academy is still considered u-little, then its because its being compared to U-15-19 ages. But when you compare it to U-7/U-11 its BIG BOY soccer. So everything is relative to the comparison.
Does anyone know if MK plans on visiting NYSC tomorrow? I would consider it pure entertainment to see him walk on the field he was unable to deliver for his club.
Also, just to remind us all that this blog is called: BS is BS - I think its time to pay homage to the 174,333 views, and over 4,000 responses on this topic - truly amazing. Nothing supports the expression and name of the blog better. Beachside is SO BS.

- aren’t playing 11v11.
- don’t play with size 5 ball.
- utilize the regular goal
- don’t keep standings
- many of these players won’t be at club at older ages

Watching them develop is a lifelong journey and it should be happening from day 1 of when they start anything.
He’s an idiot for
- for pumping up the game on talking soccer
- predicting scores or wins
- thinking anyone other than family cares
There’s a reason why they don’t keep standings at this age group. There’s a reason why there will be significant turnover of the roster by the older age group
Enjoy the game and time watching soccer with your kid. It goes by fast
