Just crazy. The club has many great qualities, along with some good coaches. They don’t own their fields but what they practice and play are are good in quality.
I don’t see why one would not inform a club if they are leaving prior to tryouts. Leave the spot open for someone to be offered a first round spot. You leaving can be the break another kid has been looking for. It is also better for their team mates. Your child doesn’t want to see their old team fail even if they are leaving.
If your leaving one club due to flaws, I am sure you will notice flaws the next club.
The key is to do what is best for your child and what they want.

Beachside never changes
You're asking US as parents to extend Beachside the courtesy they don't offer us.
You're suggesting the grass is not greener elsewhere - stick with the devil you know
You're suggesting that we're leaving the club due to FLAWS, well that would be an under statement to say the least. Yes, nobody is perfect, but do I need to pay $4,000 for this massively imperfect product? NO WAY.
I'm doing what is best for my son, I'm certain of it.
And I'll tell them when I'm damn ready to tell them. Word is Beachside benches players and/or places them on their 'B' teams when they reveal they are leaving.
I'm protecting my son from them for the remainder of this season
I'm protecting my son from them for the remainder of his life after that.

oh well.... hate it when someone puts a gun to my head. Kind of have to walk away, but if I was given more time I might stay.
Who writes this business model???
what age group is he?

I am just saying it’s a risk you take letting a coach know prior to tryouts but a more mature approach. If a coach doesn’t respect a kid who lets them know prior to tryouts and benches said kid that coach shouldn’t call themselves a coach. It is a contract. If paid for the year the kid should play for the year.

Now it's all about lax anyway. Thank god they haven't outsourced that program to MK.

Beachside $
We just found out that we won't be getting any of our money back. The Civil suit gets filed this afternoon. I point back to a Beachside release to its members in Sept 2016. What is Beachside doing with all the money they raised? We've been lied to, left on the wire for 2 years with NOTHING to show for it except angry, bitter, resentment towards the lying bastards that sold us a bridge.
OK so we're guilty, guilty of trusting and believing. EVERYONE/ANYONE be warned, you enter into a relationship with these SNAKES and you've got only yourself to blame. They are crooks, they are liars, and they will never change.

Announcement by Club President Carl McNair following Beachside’s Club-wide meeting on Monday on September 19, 2016
Thank you to all who were able to attend our club wide meeting last night; it was a record crowd.
For those of you who could not attend the meeting, Below is a summary of the announcement of Beachside Soccer Park. Since this project is so critical to Beachside and its players, I wanted to provide you with details regarding the efforts of the Board to make Beachside Soccer Park a reality.
Last Friday, we entered into a Purchase and Sale Agreement to buy 11.3 acres near Independence Drive in Monroe, Connecticut. The Agreement provides us with 120 days to complete our due diligence regarding this property, and we are already working on a title search and an environmental site assessment. The Agreement also provides a 180 day contingency period for: (i) Beachside to confirm it has enough money to close on the land and build the Soccer Park; and (ii) the Seller to obtain all necessary approvals for fields, clubhouse, lights and parking. Assuming all contingencies are satisfied over the next 180 days, we will purchase the land in May 2017.
We are in the early stages of planning, but this 11.3-acre parcel will include two full-sided turf fields with lights and an area for goalkeeping and small-sided training. In addition, the complex will include a 10,000 SF clubhouse and training facility that will be used for regenerative training, yoga, strength and agility training, an internet-connected study area, meeting rooms for coaches and players, offices for support staff, coaches and club officials and a common area for parents to relax when they drop off for practice. In addition, there will be locker rooms and facilities for both home and visiting teams….girls and boys.
As Mickey said last night, our announcement of Beachside Soccer Park will be a “game-changer” for our club.
I will be in regular communication with all of you over the next several months about this exciting opportunity for our club. Thank you for all of your support of Beachside, and feel free to contact me with any questions or suggestions.
Best,
Carl McNair, President
Beachside Soccer Club
