You know something is very wrong when everyone cancels their games against you this weekend. Is what you are doing with the teams really worth it?

If I had to guess they are keeping teams the way they were before the sale to help the new ownership. The only problem with that is that things were a mess at every age group with the best boy players choosing to leave at U13 for FSA because they want to be on a competitive team. Being in MLSnext is meaningless for a super talented player if they have to constantly be out of position helping the defense. They won’t get the attention they are looking for. It’s not for lack of talent at the club. It’s what they choose to do with it.

Can someone explain to me why Oakwood posts highlight videos of a kid who left them to go to CFC. Yes Fred, maybe post highlights of kids that still play there instead of your kid who ditched Oakwood for CFC.

…or…wait for it….you could just play the best players at the club together. If you were to listen into parents talk on the sideline, you would realize that CT soccer is a small world. Why do the parents know who’s best and the coaches do not? Oh that’s right. Our boys go to camps with other kids in CT, our kids train in small group training with certain kids in CT , and best of all we see the same kids 4+ times a year when we play each other (and have for years in premier and town travel). Crazy parents is a side step for taking responsibility that you have talent in your club that you are callously overlooking. I don’t profess to understand the motivation, but I know you (our coach/director) and my kid (a top 5 player in 2013) remember being completely shutdown by someone more than a few games who is now in our club. If you don’t know who this is, I assure you we will move on at year end. Call me crazy, but I’d be crazy to stay if you just sit there and stash one of the best defenders in CT in our age group.

Oh and btw the toilet is running at TD Park. My bet is you only fix one of these problems. This is why we lose at all ages.

If I cannot trust, your decisions at U13 what does three more years buy me? Two short years before it all ends for most. You want to act like only HS matters yet it is very clear who is talented and who will grow and not. At this age we are going to assume they most of the shorter kids who base their game on COD and agility aren’t going to make it (not our first rodeo) - yes these kids will grow and slow. Do they actually understand the game? If it were just about speed all we would do is slap each others hands.

Ignore them. It’s one of those 2014 kids who can’t even play age appropriate. Struggle is real. Watch them try Teqball for what seems to be the first time - every time. Some look like they could pass for 2015. Are they 2015? Seem to play like it at the highest levels.

Shhh. Dude I think the director is chiming in. Kind of brash,
semi stable. It fits the profile. What ever you do don’t let him (or his opponents) know that his whole team is a bunch of CAMs. That would be embarrassing. Lill Oakwood is Espresso.

No dog in this fight, but last year we trained 2013 and there
was a pretty good kid coming to our practices. He could have played on our 2012 easily- you can ask our team if they would like him on their team. Why isn’t he on our team? It makes me wonder a lot about decisions on this whole thing we pay for. Hugo, can that kid play up for us? I literally was shocked on a rainy day when I saw him. He came to multiple practices after tryouts so I thought he was still deciding. It’s really F’d up that he’s pushed down so far. I paid to have the best available on my team. This is the third instance where it’s clearly wrong.

What am I paying for? Your roots are rotten. I don’t need a hype video. I want to see results. NSG seems just to be a holding company. Offered a nice tourney option this spring, but clearly they continued to botch the team selection listening to OW coaches or maybe they didn’t realize STA is B league compared to what they bought -
an English accent only takes you so far into a battle. Do they not know that? Please tell me they understand because most of our top kids will go to FSA next year from OW like every other year and they will compete against STA and win (typical). That kid included since he is being dissed so hard. Does anyone put things together? This club could help itself double if it just focused a bit more. We use to practice together and it we really clear who was good and not. You split kids up and I don’t think that was for the better.
