it's really not though - there's clearly two top shelf clubs in CT (FSA and CFC), and two second tier ones (OW and BS). Then there's a third tier of clubs like Sporting, Ginga, Ajax, ect. Finally there's a fourth tier of pop-up premiers/town premiers/etc.

FSA is about as far from top shelf on the girls side as any club in the state. Seriously, c'mon. Just because they have nice facilities does not mean their girls teams are top shelf; they clearly arent. Same is true for CFCU boys .... and every single one of the 283 CFC branches! OW?? On the decline? BS?? They're still around? SPorting, Ginga, Ajax definitely have their moments especially at younger ages before the big club replace the messes they developed.

I don’t think anyones been able to verify that based on rank or score. Do they compete and make it through the game? Yes. Could they win an off game? Possibly. But for as wide of an area they cast with many teams, they vastly underperform. Imagine if FSA bought OW and created and East -west system for boys. Wow. In that light, they are light years behind given they are aggregating the best from like 5 teams.
