yes, 8 is the mercy rule, but only at the end of first half or later. A game must be at least a half, so a good team can beat a poor team by more than 8 in the first half. Worst I've seen is 14-0.

HS soccer = pain

the level of HS soccer is very bad, its painful to watch. Girls is the worst. Ive seen U-9's play cleaner futbol then girls HS soccer. But it is really fun to be part of it. You get to wear your jersey to school on game day.

First time reading this thread and I have to say whoever wrote the post above is one seriously disturbed troll. So much anger, calling someone a sick f**k and egomaniac for using the term "my daughter's team"? What else would you call them, "the team that my daughter plays for" maybe? Whatever, who cares. Anyway, the "asterisks" were in between the F and the K, you were obviously having trouble finding them.

Another club snob. The most athletic thing that you've probably ever done is 12 oz curls or eating bon-bons while watching Oprah. Either that or the theme of your life is Bruce Springsteen's "Glory Days".

From the stadium perspective, people do not appreciate the skills the girls have. Painful can mean good soccer when the battles are so good the fans can not comprehend when no goals can be scored. Have to admit it is more exciting to watch than football.

Your kids must be pretty crappy players and play with crappy players. The better HS teams, with a larger % of club players, can beat a lot of crappy club teams - like the teams that your daughters play for.
