You are wrong
I just want to say that club soccer is easy. Yes you heard what I said easy. In club you get to pick what coach you have and what players you play with. If you are playing on an elite club team winning state comes down to beating one or two other strong teams. How is that any different from the competition faced in high school where you don’t get to handpick your surroundings?

True. Seeing a lot of both HS and club soccer the club elitests can't say that the top 4-8 HS teams in most classes are slouches. True that most HS schedules include some horrible competition, but there is still cream at the top.

Originally posted by AnonymousI guess AHD beating Douglas earlier this year was another easy game. Oh wait didn't Douglas just win their 5th straight state championship. Maybe giving STJohn's a little credit for being a good team and beating a very young AH is a crazy concept. Unfortunately we only see the results and level of competion of the games and don't understand the value of good training in helping the kids to develop as players. I guess bashing them is easier than giving them credit for what they have accomplished.

The best comp in the state is Club soccer. All of the players from St. Johns were TOP club players on TOP club teams. Thats why The Johnies whooped AHD. Get a grip

They may have good soccer, but their education is horrible. It is the school of choice when your kid gets kicked out of good private schools.

I was referring to the poster that says...."club soccer is easy". I haven't got a problem with ANY team picking their players or coaches. If your good enough, i guess you will play. But most HS's only have a few club players on their roster and thats why HS sux. But at AHD, one must go around crowing how great they are when they don't play anybody and when they finally did play somebody, they got whooped. I spoke with one of the AHD parents and he told me only a few of their players actually play for premier teams. They why all of the crowing all year???? HS should be fun without all of the puffyness, but leave it to the S.Florida to muck it up.

Recruitment happens at 6, 7, 8th grade before FHSAA has any control, the perfect example is AHP, where many boys and their families are offered a deal they can't turn down, a free private school education and promises of the the overated HS Championship "RING". Most parents pay a small sum, such as washing windows. The recruiters are club coaches, who get same for for their kids who otherwise wouldn't qualify for deal

I guess that would help at homecoming.

Originally posted by AnonymousI just heard AH Delray got whipped big time today by St. Johns Country Day. Maybe now AH will come back down to earth. They play no one all year and now when they finally played a decent team they got their butts wipped. This is why 2A is such a joke. They play Middle school teams all year and when they have to play a real team they get killed. The St. Johns team I hear is the real deal Could probably beat 4 or 5A teams. AH Delray is just a pretender!
