East Bay is in the weakest district in the area. There is not a quality team amoungst the group. They have had draws against two good teams this year however, so they are not a bad team. Just not the quality that they think that they are. They will find out soon enough.

These players do play high school for fun, and school spirit, like all the other high school teams. The girls are experienced enough players to know, or at least have a pretty good idea of what quality they are. They know that there are very good teams ( in other districts/regions/class' )that may be able to beat them. They also know, especially at this point in the season, that they have to play their best every game. They have never been the type of team to make excuses for a loss. They know they were beat by easily by the better team in their loss earlier this year. So when the time comes to "find out", the players will. Their parents, well that may be a different story.
I agree, it does stink that good teams in tough districts or regions, can't get through to the regionals or state final four. In fact, some of the players have friends in other districts/regions/class' that could fall into this category. Some are on some very good teams that might be sitting home after districts/regionals. While others are on good teams in real weak districts/ regions/classes and might make it alll the way to the final 4 in their class.
Heck some districts, in some classes, only have a handful ,or maybe even just 3 or 4 teams, where winning one district game gets them into the regionals. Doesn't seem fair. But I guess it happens across all the varsity high school sports, not just soccer.

The mouths of some parents at East Bay is a problem. It is too bad but the lack of knowledge of the game and the screaming at refs is very bad. I am sure that most of the parents are decent people but instead of arguing on this site, listen at the next game and try to control the ones that are off the wall. I am not trying to bash the East Bay people, I am truely being honest. It is unfortunate but in many cases a few bad apples make you all look bad.
