Thats what I thought. Hey isn't Merritt Island in Brevard. Also The U15/16 at Space coast is pretty good. In addition the CBS club has some good teams as well. And we are not even talking about north brevard. Listen there is alot of talent brewing in this area that I believe it actually going to get better.

2 Forwards on Heritage Planation have way more potential at college level. Speed kills and you can do a lot with that. #18 on Melbourne is big and strong and talented but speed can't be taught and that is what colleges all look for.

The problem is many of the top players in Florida happen to go to schools without other top players, so they do not get the chances that others do to show they should be player of the year. Most however, are content to shine on their club teams and will go on to do great in college, so they will not have to look back on high school accomplishments as being the highlight of their soccer careers.

I agree, there are girls that play highschool in our county that are great players, and becuase the talent on the HS team is so bad they are not able to produce like at club level. That why is is so important to understand that it is a team game. Thats why teams like Mel, Viera that have basically club players from the same club do so well. And a team like cocoa high that basically had no club players, probably all first time they ever played soccer, results are so different. Your example would be different if they made kids go to school were they are zoned.

I may be wrong, but I think you are talking about the Viera forward not the Melbourne High player. The Viera forward is definitely going to Spain, but I don't think the other is.

KS is #10 for Viera HS. She's a senior and headed to Wake Forest.

KG is #18 for Melbourne. She's a junior and has commited to FSU as of the latest news (which is pretty old).

They're both excellent players.

I guess coaching would go to PZ if RECRUITING is the standard by which he is judged. Lets see him get a public school group and turn them into winners instead of hand picking top kids. Not coaching, recruiting.

I thought all the top 4 teams in both 2A & 3A at the Final Four were private schools

Also speaking of PZ, what top kids?? I checked his roster only 2 odp kids on team and one is 8th grader????? Stop crying and start looking at some of these public school records to see where those kids live??
