I think its going to be a tough call for player of the year for the girls, but for the coach I think 2 time state champs American Heritage Plantation PZ....

People after seeing where this goes the last couple years, please do not acknowledge any girls.
If they get voted some award at the end of the year, they have no control over that and as we all know, this site will rip into any name mentioned and do their best to tear them apart!
Didn't everyone rip into kids enough during the season?? Let the kids enjoy some time before you start ripping into them at State Cup.

Why would you say that. Mel Highs coach has just completed a 25-0-0 season following a 23-0-1 season. Mel High coach has also just been honored with it second ESPN RISE #1 ranking, something that has never been done before in the 11 year history of the poll.
Just look at the past teams that did not repeat:

Mel High has also been #1 in the NSCAA poll all season. Do you have any idea the kind of pressure that puts on a coach and team? With all that, they still we able to win Back to Back State Titles and remain undefeated 25 wins 0 losses and 0 ties. The last time this team has lost a game was back in 2008.

You also forgot to mention he had R3PL U18 team Space Coast to pull kids from that came into school well skilled above most players??

Would love to see Mel Hi and American Heritage play next year?? Not sure who would win, but would be great match??

I was told during state finals that AH approached Mel Hi each of the last 2 years to schedule game and they refused?? Someone make it happen?? Also throw in Palm Harbour as well. Lets get all back to back Champions playing round robin event!!

Most High School coaches job is to not mess up talent if teams are loaded! Many schools get 3-4 yr runs, the good programs can keep it going for years!!

I can tell you right now that if (which I doubt it happened) they were ask to play AH next season during the state finals that the Mel High coaches would not have made a decision on the spot whether or not to play them. I am sure Mel High has a set amount of games that they have to play within The County and only a few games to fill the rest of the season with. One big factor is COST, budgets have been cut and money is very limited. Parents have had to fund away trip etc. Mel High has played plenty of quality teams this season Cardinal Gibbons, Boca, West Boca, George Jenkins, Seminole, Viera, Merritt Island What top teams has American Heritage played?? Coaches make decisions based on what will be BEST for the team in preparation for the State Run. If in Melbourne’s case it doesn’t include American Heritage, so be it, get over yourself and live with it, just offer more scholar ships and get to class 5A so you can have the privilege of meeting Mel High.

You miss read everything, must be public school education?? No one is full of anything, just would like to see matches played. No one asked Mel Hi at States, only information gathered that they would not play AH even after requesting for 2 straight years. The reasons are not my business, I would just like them to play!! You got very deffensive very quick??
FYI, since you mentioned it AH played 14 district champs this year, Mel Hi played as you already listed -6.

Actually that is a different person. I actually am a Palm Bay guy, who happens to respect the coach and that soccer team at Mel Hi. That coach at that school is very good. I would also tell that the JV team at that school could probably beat most varsity teams. They have plenty in the tank for the next couple of years. I would say they all play at the same club but not in the same age group. As far as playing out of area, well if the school budgets stay the same it would be very slim for that to happen. We played alot of teams from Orlando last year and this year because of the lack of schedule and money that did not happen. Hey I am glad to see some others from brevard on these threads. Momentum is growing. BE SCARED BE VERY SCARED. SOCCER DOMINATION IS NEAR. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.
