I actually think your style of play is more intense than it was before your injury that kept you out last year. I liked it. The game you had against PKY was great. Unfortunately, even though you had two major run-ins with the coach; they were very dramatic. What you did to the coach in the last one, in front of the whole team, is the reason you got kicked off. Everyone had your back in the first altercation, but the thing that happened during the Bobcat Invitational was shocking, even to your friends and teammates who love you.

if they loved him they would of been backing him up all the way on this situation like a team does..... not just drop it.... what mthura did in the buchholz invitational happened because he was taken out of the game when he should of just been on the field, mathura didn't even get a yellow he was just taken off because of a dumb foul(who takes players out because of fouls=coach miller) which is obviosly the reason he went off at coach, just like i or anybody else on the team would of done in that stituation. mathura plays just like me hard and aggressive, soccer was not made to run around in short shorts and kick a ball... its a competitive sport where anything can happen and if it does you just have to play through it(which coach never let us). i know i made dumb decisions during this season but i didnt plan on it ending like this, i played every game with a passion to win and thats all i wanted. i also just wish my senior season didnt end with a loss and a missed pk but ill get over that... yall raiders keep your head up

I think both of you guys had great energy and ability as well. If there was anything I could do to get you both back on the team I would. What would you suggest?

I don't accept, however, that you have to lose your temper in certain situations. In life you have to adjust to those in authoritative roles.

I will say that in that last game, the yellows came as a result of just playing hard. The missed PK could have happened to anyone. I had never seen you miss a PK before.

The team is certainly not the same without you both.

I disagree with this thing about teammates backing you up. They have backed you guys up all year. At some point they have to go on with the season. If you guys were in their corner you would have had controlled your minds and not blown up so much. You knew the scene there. If your coach and AD are disciplinarian, then you should be strong enough to adjust a little.

i dont really like arguing on a website, i also dont like my personal bouisnes to be showed to everyone, so all im gonna say is that i didint walk away from the team i left the field because miller told me to get my stuff and leave the field, also the AD had nothing to do with me getting kicked off, it was millers decision.

If you don't talk about it anymore here then, neither will I.

Looks like a little drama going on down Sante Fe Way...

All the "drama" aside; Santa Fe plays GHS tonight at 7 pm at Citizen's Field. Yes, the season goes on. Gainesville High is something like 11-4-4 this season, while the Raiders are 12-4-0, albeit playing a much weaker schedule. Last year Santa Fe played them twice. The Raiders won the first game 2-0 at home, and then lost in penalty kicks to them at the Bobcat invitational, after playing to a 2-2 tie. Gainesville played Eastside last Friday and lost 3-1.

GHS has some good players: Michael "Moosh" O'Connor is the sweeper, Steven Badinga plays center-mid, and Igor plays forward. Zack Adams is the goalie. I'm sure they have some other good players that I am not aware of at the moment.

The weather forecast calls for partly cloudy skies, with the temperature at 50 degrees at game time.

The Raiders play at home vs. Eastside for Senior Night on Wednesday and then at home again Friday vs. Buchholz.

The Raiders came back from a 1-0 half-time deficit to earn a 1-1 tie against Gainesville High School Tuesday night, on GHS's Senior Night.

Syami Erving got the best of a collision between him and GHS center mid-fielder Steven Badinga to win the ball and set-up Quentin Polly for the game equalizer in the 50th minute of play. Prior to that, Badinga scored the go-ahead score in the 37th minute of the first half.

The Raiders dominated possession in the first half, while the Hurricanes dominated in the second. Oddly enough, the scoring was inverse to the domination. Such can be the game of soccer.

Justin White made some great saves in the second half to preserve the tie. Sophomore reserve defender Dakota Quinn played great off the bench.

"Santa Fe gained a lot of respect in my eyes with this game," said Gainesville Soccer guru Basil Benjamin, who was in attendance.

Injured player Alex Wigglesworth and Santa Fe stalwart Mathura Rico supported their friends with enthusiastic cheers from the stands.

Santa Fe hosts Eastside tonight at Raider Stadium. Tonight the Raiders also will send off their seniors into the great unknown with their own Senior Night ritual . Festivities start at 7 pm, weather permitting.
