This was the best age group all in one bracket I’ve ever seen. Usually the great teams are split into blue and red. Loved how they were all in blue this year. Congrats to sheb for clinching first.

We all know it’s a big difference. However not everyone will play at the highest level. So they may prefer ECRL for that reason.

Agreed. It’s sad that some or should I say lots of clubs and coaches try to preach otherwise. Just call it how it is. Fact is if half of these coaches were any good they would be coaching college or running their own private schools. Nothing wrong with playing div 2 soccer. But we all know it’s not div 1. Can’t sell it that way but these pathetic clubs try to and do. I feel bad for parents who don’t know any better and just buy in.

Look if you can make an ECNL team and play significant minutes … it’s a no brainer. If you can do those things, there is nothing wrong with playing for GA or ECRL or another league where you will play a lot and showcase yourself rather than riding the bench at the highest level.

full game on the field for ECRL is better than playing half a game of GA. Playing half a game is better than playing 15 minutes in an ECNL game. playing time in games is all that matters. also playing full game GA is better than playing half a game on ECNL.. The GA and ECNL teams in NJ are equal other than PDA Blue.

Anyone remember 5 months ago when they said MF Morris was #1 in the state? But they only played North Jersey teams.

Then people complained that South Jersey teams wanted to move EDP brackets (to play different, maybe better competition)

Well now MF Morris finished 4th behind 3 South Jersey teams. Exactly the reason they probably wanted to move brackets.

Still all great competition, but you can’t crown any team #1 until they have played all respectable competition. Throughout the entire state.

EDP should’ve made a mega bracket with all the best teams since the fall and placing them into appropriate divisions with teams near their skill level.

Teams were all over the place in Prem 1 except the 2 that dont belong.

Prem 5 North has Clark SC 8-0-0 Undefeated who in reality should’ve been playing Prem 4 or even 3.
Prem 6 South has Hanover SC 5-0-0 Undefeated who in reality should’ve been playing Prem 5 or even 4.

EDP doesn’t care one bit about any off this , youth sports are about money , take a breathe your analyzing little kids , breathe and relax it’s not that serious

Morris White finished 4-5 in the spring in Prem 4, Clark was 6-1 in Prem 6 (they moved up) and Hanover played in MCYSA after not winning a single game in the Spring last year. Clark and Hanover are town travel teams that played really crappy competition. Clark might have gone 0-8 in the next flight. Torpedoes went 7-0-1 in Premier 2 last year, but 1-5-2 in Premier 1 (playing both).
