HARRISON, NJ (November 8, 2023) – NJ/NY Gotham FC of the National Women’s Soccer League has added Next 3 Founder and CEO Carolyn Tisch Blodgett as a new minority owner and strategic investor. She will also sit on the NWSL Board of Governors as the Alternate Governor to Tammy Murphy. Tisch Blodgett is leading the investment with backing from the Tisch family, including New York Football Giants co-owners Laurie, Jonathan and Steve Tisch.
“We’re in the midst of writing a new chapter in the history of women’s sports. I believe that together with Tammy, the extended Gotham FC ownership, Commissioner Berman and the NWSL, we have the opportunity to elevate our players as leaders, not just in women’s sports, but sports – period,” said Tisch Blodgett.
Prior to joining Gotham FC, Tisch Blodgett was the Head of Global Marketing at Peloton, which she helped transform from a little-known fitness start-up into the global leader in connected fitness and a household name. In addition to leading Next 3, Carolyn also acts as Strategic Advisor to the Tisch Ownership Group, which co-owns the New York Football Giants, which co-owns the New York Football Giants, representing their interest across the business.

Tisch Blodgett has received several prestigious awards including Crain’s 40 under 40, Business Insider’s 25 Most Innovative CMOs in the World, AdAge 40 under 40, and AdAge’s Most Powerful Women in Sports. The accomplished sports executive will join an already star-studded ownership group which includes founding owners Tammy Murphy, Phil Murphy, and Steven Temares, as well as Eli Manning, Sue Bird, Kevin Durant, Carli Lloyd, Rich Kleiman, Ed Nalbandian, and New York Football Giants Chief Business Officer Pete Guelli.

Gotham FC will play in its first-ever NWSL Championship game on Saturday, November 11th at 8pm ET in San Diego versus OL Reign. The match will air on CBS.
