Not all that different from what they ran in 2019-20:

Neither WP nor Rush left RCL then, nor will they do so now. It will just be another competition for their A teams (and perhaps WP's B teams).

Also note that the article references Paul Bayly as helping organize this...Paul is the RCL commissioner.

This seems more like an alternative to ENCL Regional rather than regular league games.

Spot on and good catch on Paul Bayly (who by the way has always been fair and accommodating for me) - but it will be for the A teams and pulling up a few players from the B teams if there happens to be a conflict. It's a way for the ECNL teams to still be in the WYS system and qualify for Regionals/Nationals. Teams have been in both US Club and USYSA systems for years. No different here.
