It's clear you don't know what you are talking about.
How do you know so much about the Eastside B09 teams? Are you stalking little boys? If you are the parents, please stop telling them to play kickball.

I have a son that plays 09, but not on EFC. Would agree on kick ball, but you are still a troll

Hoofball... KickN rush... we used to call it on the other side of the pond, what you lads call long ball, or aimlessly kicking the ball down the field.

Works up until the age of 12 or so, but don't tell that to teams in the UK.

My Rant- Parents that learn a thing or two about soccer and start throwing around their observation here. The easiest and most thrown around negative observation made by an American parent either on this forum or any sideline is...”the other team plays boot ball”. Yawn. This is often true at young ages. Do you even need to comment on it? To me when a parent makes this their key observation and do not observe if the kids pass accurately, demonstrate proper heading technique (only preteen ages now of course), do they shoulder check consistently by 10-12?, do they go in for tackles correctly and confidently?, are their offensive and defensive transitions fast?, the list goes on.... Walk away if a parent engages you in the “they play boot ball” conversation. Not only is this boring, it is probably all the parent knows how to observe. And I might add, a considerable amount of time they are making this comment with exaggeration when reviewing and opposing team and/or they do not even see their kiddos team is playing just as direct.

Lol Fair point but you obviously have never seen Eastside teams play across the age groups and do not have a data point of how they play/train as a majority. EFC is known to be the tried and true through ball to the forward everyone fights for 50/50 balls hustle. If we all scramble to the goal harder than the other team we win. This really works at the younger ages and EFC parents get all giddy that they are on championship teams. Until it doesn't. Then the teams are a mess and parents can't figure out why their teams are not top dog anymore. All the things you mention do not exist at EFC and are not being trained as a whole at EFC and their play shows it. Yes there are a few coaches that buck the trend at EFC. Not that the other clubs in the area are brilliant either but the training at EFC is horrible. Spend some time in Preston and watch for yourself. Then watch the games. Then come back here and tell us if you can even attempt to analyze individual players, training and tactics at EFC like you say. I bet you come back and post a simple summary, that as a club, EFC primarily plays bootball. Quite literally it is not uncommon to see EFC ECNL players at older ages "whiffing" at the ball but hustling it down and fighting to win it back. I noticed you did not mentioned the technique of "whiffing" in your rant. :)

He might be overzealous but at least he's correct.Eastside FC also likes big and slow kids.

Not the OP but...how is knowing the playing style of a club overzealous?

Lol probably. But in the same tone shouldn't you take your own advice for reading all this and posting on this thread. Let's see how long we can play the I'm rubber and you're glue game back and forth in posts. We both obviously don't have much else to do.

My children are at Pac, but these shots are dumb. We have 2 boys and one girl who have all played for various team's at various times. My youngest is U14.

EFC doesn't have a “playing style” coaches are allowed to implement any playing style they want and will implement the style they prefer.

                            For better or for worse.

This is in stark contrast to Pac which has a distinct playing style. I have discussed this first hand from families that have moved from EFC to Pac for this very reason. A new coach was coming in and they didn't like the formation or playing style that was being implemented. Whomever is posting these things are completely ignorant.

While I prefer the way Pac engrains a playing style at an early age, my daughter di go onto college and played on a team with a very direct style of play. It was a significant transition. To say one style is better or worse is moronic. I can name just as many epl and Bundesliga teams that play more direct than tiki taka. 4 of the teams in champions league play direct.

                            You are a moron.

Obviously an EFC coach or parent posting this and refusing to come to grips with their club's motto of "Building Champions in life" is somehow at odds with building good soccer players in life.
