Apologies to those of you who are not in a region that has progressed to Phase 2. But for those of you around Seattle, what did you think of the games this weekend? I saw a few games and it seemed like there was good compliance on the masking. It was interesting to see the refs use the electronic whistles. I didn't see parents/spectators congregating much, and they were all masked. Above all it was just great to see kids playing games again.

A joy to be out there. Play was sloppy, but wonderful to be back out. Happy for the seniors that will at least get to play a small season when it looked like all hope was gone.

Good to be back but the players all struggled to breathe with masks on and running full speed and many kids complained of feeling sick from multiple teams after the games. Hopefully they change the rules soon and let them play without the masks. All the expensive sports masks were a bust. The paper ones seem to work best for allowing the kids to breathe the best.

Heard no complaints from the players about masks on our end. Masks are not that restrictive. Look at all the skiers that wear masks at altitude. Get over it. Sounds like parents wanting to make an issue of it.

I’m waiting to see how the cross country and track kids fare with the masks. Guidance from Inslee right now requires them for all sports at all times. Cant imagine trying to run 3 miles that fast wearing one.

First games went great, attended 3 (manage 2). Everyone followed the rules, not one kid had an issue with their masks and while the play was sloppy kids were working hard and won all 3 games.
Maybe you need to find a better mask for your kids if they are suffering so much, the first death lololol so dramatic. No kid is dying from wearing a mask. mAy feel like that if they have something cheap on that sucks in to their mouth each time they take a breath. Parents will spend $200 a month on soccer dues, but wont spend some time or $$ finding a quality sports mask for their kids, weird.
Most the kids on our teams have picked up the under armor mask on sale for $20ea right now. Husband using one for his games. Working well for us, will be hot in the summer so fingers crossed the infection rates are low enough that we can stop wearing them on the field by then.
