I just saw this rumor on twitter. My kid is on Sounders and we've heard nothing. But I also recently saw people talking about the ridiculous amount of money (millions) US Soccer spends on DA, especially the boys side, without results at the men's level. The spending for girls DA is much much lower -- like $300K, barely enough to pay the salaries for all the girls DA scouts.

Why would OL support a separate girl's US academy when have one of the best in the world in France? Honestly, ECNL and GDA are lame compared to a real, sponsored academy system. Sorry, Teresa, your Reign GDA is done due to the financial crisis and corona virus.

Grad year teams

If DA goes away, soccer should go back to school year teams.

This would definitely be the time to go to grad year teams. When we start back up, all the clubs could have teams by grade. Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores, Freshmen, 8th graders, 7th graders and on down. Many might not return either due to so many people out of work and lower budgets all around. Perfect time to make teams by grade without disruption.
