Doesn’t apply to FC Spokane in the PSPL. Looks like at least one club, so far, forced a forfeit.

PSPL updated their Coronavirus Policy on Friday stating all games were to played as scheduled, FC Spokane is the only club in PSPL that decided not to play travel games (still playing home games) so assuming for at least this past weekend it’s up to the opposing clubs if they want to workout a reschedule or force FC to forfeit, I know for 2 teams on the girls side at this time the other clubs are trying to workout a reschedule but doesn’t seem to be the case on the boys side. Also seems at this time FC Spokane is not looking to do any travel games so may be forced to forfeit the rest of their games , question up in the air is if they get the fines or not

I think they almost have to fine them. If you don’t it creates a rather grey precendence of choosing not to play despite league policy. What happens when Snoqualmie Pass isn’t great, but still open and a team doesn’t want to drive in less than optimal conditions? What happens when the weather isn’t great? What happens when someone doesn’t want to play the weekend of Spring Break? Slippery slope.

For example, the current PSPL policy says if the Pass is open, cross-state games will be played. What if a team doesn’t want to drive through because it’s chains required? What about traction tires advised? What is the road is covered with compact snow and ice? I don’t want to drive to Spokane when the weather is less than ideal, but we kind of have to.
As a league they either need to update their policies, or hold clubs accountable to the existing ones. In this case, every other Club in the league played as scheduled so I would have a tendency to believe that the league policy was not terribly off base.

The World Health Organization just declared C19 is a pandemic outbreak. I’m guessing upcoming travel tournaments and fly away games will be cancelled.

Clubs are going to be cancelling the rest of the season. We're only in the beginning stages of the Corona Virus response. It's going to get a lot worse before it gets better. It's really unfortunate schools are closing, events and conferences are being cancelled, and extra curricular activities being cancelled as well.

Don't worry, I just saw the news, the White house has it under control. A payroll cut is in the pipeline.
Feel better now?
