WA soccer compared to the rest

What is the overall difference in WA youth soccer compared to CA, Midwest, East Coast?

Is it considered strong or weak?
Does it cost more or less?
Is there a certain style of play?
Does it create certain type of players better?

We've lived in both WA and CA. My thoughts:

California has so many more teams. Kids play more games & tournaments from a young age without having to travel much. More emphasis/training on technical skills in WA based on our experience.

The weather is a factor as well, we have 4 months of rain which reduces efficient outdoor training time

ODP (EPD) West region championships are coming up next month. It's FAR from the BEST indicator of state strength, but it is an indicator.
