A post almost wasn't going to happen this month. The amount of negativity coming from certain folks on this forum (we know who you are and might name you publically) is unfortunate. It's bad for the health of the coaches and the players and me.
There is so much misinformation out here that needs to be addressed. It seems someone posted a club email on here without permission which is unfortunate and we are working to track down who that was with our attorneys.
Lake Sammamish State Park fields are currently being repaired. Years of neglect by the prior administration have made much of the park unusable. We are trying to figure out the plan forward to upgrade the grass to turf.
SurfCup in San Diego had limited LFCIAWA attendance this year because parents chose not to go. It is not because our teams did not get accepted. We do plan to send teams next year and we recognize some won't be accepted because parents chose to not go this year.
More coaches have left but change is good for the club. Coaches who aren't on board with the Liverpool Way don't belong here and some of the recent departures have been resistant to the changes for the past couple years. Sometimes it's best of people move on. One of the best decisions made was chosing to leave coaching at Cal Lutheran. That move helped them succeed and gave an opportunity to help a club join Liverpool. Some of you have pointed out that club no longer exists but that is because of toxicity from the parents which caused coaches to leave.
LFCIAWA is strong financially - partially becaue some higher paid coaches left in exchange for some lower paid ones and because enrollment numbers are much higher than expected. For example in one age group it was planned for 20 players but 22 accepted offers which is 10% growth above expectations.
Folks, there are a lot of people trying to hurt the club and hurt the staff. There is no other local club working as hard to align with an international program as LFCIAWA. Liverpool is world renowned and the benefits we get from sending them tens of thousands of dollars is unmeasurable.
