The explicit and implicit cost or investment is a factor in parental engagement. Yet, some parents are described this toxic or in other negative terms when they share their expectations.

The trajectory of a program should be laid out in advance. Parents should also be given clear information about how decisions are made about playing time and who plays. For example, if a player returns in the middle of a tournament from vacation, should they be allowed to play?

If so, everyone should know what the requirements to play are. If it’s fair playing time and that contributes to the team, not me moving forward or losing a tournament, then the family should know that.

All that to say,, there needs to be a better partnership and better communication between coaches, clubs, and parents.

This comment sounds like it came from the library at a homeless shelter or behind the walls at Walla Walla.

Your comment reflects poorly on you, my friend.

Take care to take your medication or at least enjoy a gin and tonic while you wait for someone to post some idiocy that resonates with you based on IQ and education.

I didn’t know Macho Man Randy Savage had a kid playing soccer in the PNW. I haven’t been on here for a minute.

you’re probably just as shocked as I am that we apparently have intelligent and collegial parents in the community who are actually interested in posting on this forum.

Now, go back to playing your video games and vaping or posting about Bernie and EJ. You’d never insult me in my face, and you know that, and so you savor the chance to do so here.

It’s clear to me that few of these coaches have considered the cost or expense on the various levels. And their decision making reflects the fact.

The cost or expense goes well beyond team and other related fees.
So far, the responses suggest that all except one contributor can read between the lines. We need an AI app that can provide the Key and Peele anger translation.

                          I understand…

Intelligence is weird to imbeciles and idiots but you probably majored in soccer at a D2 or D3 school and live in your mommy’s basement and “train” kids in the afternoon.

However, It does feel like I’m sending a message out in space in hopes that there’s intelligent and self aware life out here.

But the reality is that if we could capture an image of you you’re are the most grotesque person in our culture community. Animated vomit.

                              What do you see coach?

For reason, some truly neurotic and demented troll has been allowed to run amok on here. **** them,

The initial post was written in earnest.

The Key and Peele translation is clear: when we spend money and lose money and lose time to support our kids and we make it to the final (don’t miss this point), and we somehow get the advantage with minutes to go, park the ****ing bus and bring the trophy home. Let’s make a positive memory.

If the kids are playing ****ty kick their asses later.

Intelligent coaches and parents should develop more sophisticated strategies for motivating. The level of investment is increasing and the players have an emotional investment as well.

Bright kids and parents perceive when a coach sells or gives away the tournament or meaningful games. These illogical moves are psychologically destabilizing and cause bright kids to mistrust adults, thinking that either cruel, corrupt, idiots, or all three.

This new generation is bright and they won’t allow idiots to think that they’ve duped them. If this doesn’t make sense ignore.

someone once told me the c students are running the show. We’ve gone from the revenge of the nerds to the opposite.
