Do stats matter?

Did your high school keep soccer stats? Did your club team keep player stats? Does it help in the recruiting process if you can show good stats? Thanks

Sorry, but scoring hat tricks against Snohomish, XF2, or that local summer tournament will not get you scholarship offers. Stats don’t really matter.

I just thought that season stats would be good to get a coach out to see you. If you had blank goals and blank assists it might look good. They keep that info for the boys side in Football, or Lacrosse even baseball stats are a big deal. I wanted to see who scored at the recent ECNL tournament and the stat page was blank.

It’s difficult bc coaches who aren’t local can’t really assess the competition level of your league.

Used to think stats mattered when my DS was in WPL at LWPFC. His coach kept stats on passes completed, giveaways, interceptions, blocks, etc.

Then went to RCL, no one cared. Then ECNL, no one cared. High school is next year but from what I hear, no one cares.
