Our stupid coach put my kid in as a defender, LFT BACK. OUR KID LOVES TO TAKE SHOTS FROM 200 YARDS. CAN'T THEY SEE THAT SHE IS NOT A DEFENDER? Should we say something or will the jackalope retaliate with less playtime. We are angry and in a bind .She has always be an attacker.

If this is a serious post...it really depends on the age of your kid, if she's unhappy etc. Coach may want your child there for the strength of the overall team and what your daughter can contribute from that position. He may see that your kid has good defensive instincts. Coach may have put your kid there because another player has been annointed as the "scoring star." If you feel you need to raise it, the best thing is to ask the question: Why do you think that's the right spot for my kid? Assuming you ask politely, how the coach responds really depends on their character. You need to be open to listening.
