I hate that I have to keep posting here to try and counter the toxic lies being spread about my club. Certain folks in the community (you know who you are) are intent on tearing down the club but we are thriving so it's not working.
I see a lot of posts about our competition, Crossfire and WWS specifically and want to address that because the lies are bad for everyone in the area - especially the mental health of the kids and coaches. Marlon has not been fired or banned. He is in charge at WWS and we are looking forward to playing against their teams this season. After speaking with Bernie at Crossfire I am certain they are not merging with Surf so the competitive landscape in the area stays strong.
Some of you have too much time and are hiding behind your keyboards creating an unsafe space online. I encourage you to stop posting and reposting about my club and the competition. It isn't healthy for anyone. I know this because I'm not sleeping well at night knowing what is out on this forum. I'm recovering from serious medical conditions and trying to ignore it but it's getting out of control and I have to stand up to everyone who is trying damage the club.
One of the things I wanted to do when I moved up here from California after the club I was at folded was create a statewidr alliance of clubs so we could agree on standards and principles. I am still trying to do that based on the Liverpool Way which will help with all the hatred and anger.
